Love my Hunter boots. I am a serious gardener and did not purchase this boot to be stylish so I was not upset when they arrived looking less than perfect. A whitish film was left on them and I guess this is normal. However, I know some girls may not appreciate the appearance. I like a lived in looking boot. ABSOLUTELY love shopping Zappos. EXTREME good service.

The classic-great overall, with the exception of the top of the boot being quite snug.I have slim calves, and would not be able to wear the boots over jeans! Will return to try the men's boot.

I loved how they looked, but I have a very small foot (usually wear size 5 or 5.5). So I ordered them in the smallest size available. (35-36 UK 3 (US Women's 5/US Men's 4). Unfortunately they were WAY too big. They felt at least a full size bigger. I'm pretty bummed :( The boots looked a little scuffed when I got them, and probably scuffs pretty easily based on the material. But they still looked really cute. As a last resort, I've ordered a children's size 4 in a different color since they didn't have maroon available, but the style isn't exactly the same (shaft is shorter). Hopefully, when they get here, they will fit.

Expensive rubber boot! I am very happy with my Hunters because I'll admit - I like brand names, but I wear them in the wet and muddy yard with my toddlers - I certainly don't wear them out as a fashion statement as all they are is a big rubber boot! And I certainly don't feel like Angelina or Kate Moss in them! They are fun to wear, but not sure they are worth the money.

I’ve been looking for some good quality rain boots that won’t fall apart within the first year - these seemed to fit the bill. I got them the very next day after ordering them, very impressive! I ordered the Aubergine color, which I do like, but it is a very dark color, defintiely darker than what I had anticipated from the picture. I am usually a size 8 1/2 and I ordered a 8 - they were a tiny bit big around the toes, but otherwise fit the size. I’ll be wearing thicker socks in them so that is perfect for me. However, I have pretty muscular calves, and I can’t fit them over any jeans, only leggings, etc. I read in one of the reviews that there is another version of the boot out there - called the Huntress, which was a calf circumference that is 1-1/2" larger. Unfortunately they only come in 3 colors (navy, green and black), but I think I will return these ones and get the Huntress instead so I can wear them comfotably.

Iconic Rainboots. These boots are great... I've wanted a pair forever. Unfortunately, my calves are a little on the thick side (but not so big that I need the Huntress), so there's a vacuum effect and it takes some effort to slide my feet out. Otherwise, I love them!

Great shoes! I really like the shoes. They're comfy and really high (which makes them look very cute!) and they keep out all the water. I usually wear a size 7.5 but I bought a 7; it fits well but maybe half a size smaller would fit better - but I didn't find any half-sizes. Even though, they don't feel to big - just a little loose. I have relatively thin calves so it was slightly big on the leg but still they are much narrower than most shoes - plus you can wear leg warmers since they are slightly loose. The shoes look shiny on the pages but since they are made of rubber they are very rough and uneven - disappointing at first but now I like the rough look. I definitely recommend them!

I like them - but don't love them. These are serious rain boots first and stylish second. And I'm fine with that. The first pair I was shipped was very badly scuffed up. Zappos took care of this super fast and shipped another pair of much better condition. I really, really like these boots but don't necessarily love them. They scuff very easily, and although you can generally wipe away much of it with a wet washcloth, it's not 100% effective. Sizing -- wish half sizes were available. Order down a size like so many recommend!

Slightly too big, but beautiful - I have to wear extra socks because these boots are wide! I might suggest that one try the next size down first, if you are in between two sizes.

Rainy day's must have!! I was dreaming about owning a pair of Hunter rain boots for a long time and finally decided to purchase them. What amazing shipping with Zappos; no extra shipping charge. The boots are just as stylish as I imagined. I can still be fashionable on a rainy or snowy day. The size is slightly bigger so it's perfect to add a pair of Hunter fleece socks to keep my feet warm in cold weather. Really handy! ♥

Posh wellies - I bought these for a friend abroad. This style is very "in" as the likes of Kate Moss wears them. These are good willies, however ridiculously expensive for what they are. But hey, that's called fashion!

Wellies - I needed a good pair of rubber boots. I also wanted a good looking pair of boots. I was a little disappointed in the support. Also the boots run large. I wear a size 6. I ordered a size 6 and had to put in Dr. Scholl’s. That helped the size and the support.

Not bad... I love the fact that this boot can accommodate my monstrous calves as well as cover the entire length of my shins (which is pretty rare for me). I got a size 9, but I think I should have gotten a size smaller cuz the toes have too much room and the boot seems to wobble around a lot, especially in the ankle area. Needless to say, it took me a few minutes to get used to walking around in them. (It fits fine when I wear three layers of socks though.) Lots of white marks/streaks appeared on the boot after wearing them once. These are supposed to be normal, but it looks like I scuffed them like crazy.

Great Rainboot! Enough with the crappy rainboots - these Hunter's are great and will certainly last a lifetime. I bought them in the merlot. It’s a faded, subtle red, but I like them. They run really big, so I would order one size down.

I've been looking for wellie type boots for a long time because of my 14 1/2 calves. The Hunter's work so well for me. Even when it's not raining I like to wear them in the cold because the insulated rubber adds an extra layer when I'm wearing tights and skirts. My friends make fun of me and say that I should be mucking out some stalls, but I don't care. I love 'em! One caveat. I put a Dr. Scholl's-type insert for extra arch support. I would get the liners but because my calves are so big, and I'm hoping to stretch the boots out a bit and then try them.

Love these wellies - Great wellie, one drawback- can't wear the warm Hunter socks and tuck pants in because there's not enough room in the calf. However, jeans alone will fit nicely.

I usually wear an 8.5, but I tried on an 8 instead, the calf circumference had just enough space to fit my jeans, but the shoe size was about half a size too big. Size 7 fit my foot, but there was just enough room for my calves only. Anyhow, these boots look very stylish, I would love to wear these, but because of the price, I don’t think they'll last long.

Hunter's Hunter Original in Red - The foot part feels a little large...but should be ok with thick socks...I have athletic calves...they fit, but snug, won't be able to tuck in jeans I'm sure but ok over leggings and tights, etc...Love the red color!!!

Popular for a reason - There are plenty of rubber rain boots out there these days, and a lot of them are significantly cheaper than Hunter's. I would argue that Hunter's are worth the price if you plan on wearing them a lot, wearing them for a long period of time, or keeping them for years and years. These boots are well-made, comfortable and durable. They're an investment that will last well beyond their trendy time in the limelight. They are roomy and can accommodate thick socks, but are also comfortable with thinner socks-- your feet will have room to move, but won't slide around too much.

Practical for a lifetime - If you want a boot for wet weather that will last forever, this is the boot for you. It's a classic that will never go out of style (though there are many knock-offs out there, why not go for the original?). You'll be the envy of everyone at the wet fox hunt, the jumpers of city puddles or those in the rainy school parking lot; it works!

Strange sizing. The sizing on these boots is definitely a little strange - I wore a much larger size than I thought I would. And if you want to wear thick socks or the Hunter inserts, you'll want to get even larger. Otherwise, great boot!

We have a small ranch and our winters are cool (above freezing) and VERY wet. This boot gets me through all the farming chores and is also a good choice for horseback riding on wet days. I've had my pair for a year now and they've held up very well. The only 'con' (and this is minor) is that, if not hosed off constantly, my light blue pair is stained. Dried on mud has discolored them, but I can't complain, as they're working boots. I have a foot that is almost a narrow, but not quite. This boot is a little wide for me, but works okay with socks. It moves around a good bit, but surprisingly is not uncomfortable, despite the movement. I expect to buy these again when the time comes.

Great Boots! These boots are wonderful - I always feel a little extra sassy walking around in them for some reason. Just like everyone says, order a size down and they do run snug in the calves. I have skinny calves and am just barely able to fit my jeans inside. My only complaint is the weird waxy film that develops after wearing them a few times. I tried wiping them with a wet cloth (warm water) and it helped some, but the film is still there. Overall, great boot that definitely beats the weirdo printed boots out there. Classic.

Faboo Boots - These boots are fashionable and comfortable, although I would have liked a little extra room around the calves. If you work out and have muscular calves, these boots might be a bit tight. If not, then they score a 5 all around.

Best rainboot I've seen - This boot is cute and comfy. The calf is a little snug if you want to fit jeans and thick socks for cold weather. They are about as cute as a pair of rubber boots could be, simple and stylish. I did find that the first time I wore them in the rain the moisture in the air caused the inside of the boots to rub and irritate my legs, so I wear socks if it’s humid. Overall I would definitely buy them again, worth the money.
