Very nice quality. A little bit loose fit in the heel, but still a keeper. I use to buy shoes based on price and style. After 3 trips to a foot specialist with Achilles tendon issues, I've learned my lesson. I now buy what the Doc recommends. Love the Zappos videos and the perfect service.

Shoe feels very puffy. My heel slips out when I walk. The size fit larger than other shoes of the same size.

The laces must be moved into the top position in order to keep them from cutting off circulation, but once this is done, they fit like a dream. They're very solid and stable feel without extreme weight. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Purchased these for my son who generally wears a 10.5. I ordered his usual size even though several people commented that they ran small. They arrived and were much too big. We exchanged them for a 9.5 which fit and still have plenty of room for super thick socks. The shoes look great - look very well constructed and hope to get lots of wear from them.

The Keen Targhee II shoes are great. I use them for hiking in wet and light snow conditions; they are definitely waterproof! I love the way Keen's fit; they are the most comfortable outdoor shoe I own, This style does run small, as the sizing shart advises. I purchased a half size larger that I normally wear and they fit great.

I just bought this shoe, and love it. I tried other similar Keens and this one had the best fit. The others had a slight heel that felt odd. I bought these to replace my Salomon hiking shoes. The last pair of Salomon hikers I bought never did fit right. The Keen Targhee II fit liked glove on the first try and I never looked back. Too bad as I have been loyal to Salomon since my skiing days going back over 40 years (boots and bindings)!

I bought these shoes for my husband for Christmas. He says these shoes have the best arch support as well as his dress shoes which are also Keens. He said it is like walking on a cloud. I think if he could have he would of slept in them. I am glad I got a 1/2 size larger as recommended by the company and other reviews. My husband has wide feet (usually wears a D in width) but he has had no problems with the width of these shoes. He is a physician is on his feet all day and is also diabetic. He has used shoes in the past with orthotic insets, but he says these shoes far outpast his other shoes. I too wear Keens and I will never wear another make of shoes ever in my life.
Brands I'd also recommend: any make of Keens

Get a half size bigger than your usual shoes, just like they recommend. I've always worn trail style shoes and these are some of the best I've ever worn. Have not tested how water proof they are yet, but am sure they will do fine. The colors are way more generic than the pics show, good for me, maybe not so much for you. One month in and they are sweet, playing disk golf they work well on all surfaces, dirt, grass, concrete, rocks, and a sweet toe bumper very useful. Hope they last as long as my Newport sandals have.

Love this shoe! This is the second pair in this style that I have had. Great shoe for gardening and working outside in any weather. Feet stay dry and comfortable. I added stretchy laces and they are perfect for quick on and off.

I work in a hospital OR and I'm on my feet all day. I decided to give the Targhee II a try as a work shoe, and it has turned out to be a great choice. Some people might find them a little hard on the inside for this type of work, but they work great for me. The soles grip very well when various body fluids and disinfectants are on the floor, and spills aren't a problem because they're waterproof. As for hiking, I have another pair that I have worn for two years. The soles are quite worn and they look ratty, but they still have great mud-gripping ability. You can't go wrong buying these shoes.

A very nice and durable sneaker for work, trail walking, etc. The only reason I returned it is that it was a bit too stiff in the sole than what I was looking for at the present time. Order a size larger than normal. I wear a size 12 in a Keen Voyageur, but a 13 in the Targhee II.

These shoes are true to description and Keen's tradition. The sole is firm stable for outdoor trails, there is minor heal slip, but very comfortable. I replaced the insoles with arch supports as is my practice.

I have own a least six pairs of these since they stopped making my favorite Salomon's. They are comfortable. They come practically broken in. The insoles vary for me they either wear out half way before the shoes wear out, or they last the whole time. I prefer the green superfeet. The laces a durable haven't broken a set ever. The tread wears fairly even. I wear out the heel first because I scuff my feet. They are very light weight. The colors always seem to turn black or brown in the end depending what color they started out as. The waterproofing seems to give out ofter about 8 months. but they get me throught the winter with help from small gators. So If you are a working person and on your feet all day. Alternately getting wet snowy and dried again. These as the shoes for you.
Brands I'd also recommend: Salomon, Teva, New Balance

Great shoe. I wear these on bike rides, dog walks, and around town. They are comfortable in every aspect. Follow Zappos advice and get a half size larger. It turned out perfect. I wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5.

This is my 2nd pair of Keen Targhee II's, I'm still wearing my other pair just needed another color. I have 6 or 7 pairs of other keen styles, I need a shoe with a wider toe box than most. Keen's are the most comfortable footwear I have found right out of the box.

I love them! I have been bummed that Keen does not make wide width women's shoes and only go down to a 7 in men's. Thanks to very helpful reviews at Zappos telling me the men's run half a size small I figured it was worth a try. My hiking feet are so happy that I did.

These shoes were purchased for my husband. He absolutely loves them because of the strong stability and great arch support. Plus Zappos was the only store that had the size he needed, size 14. Thanks Zappos, this is the best place to purchase anything!

Just received my 4th pair of these shoes, they are so comfortable. As others have written, order up 1/2 a size. Also, tie a not in each side of the lace right below the second strap. This will keep the toe box from smashing over time. The wide toe box is nice as it is hard to find shoes for wide feet. Excellent shoe right out of the box. I tend to get 1 year out of a pair before the sole is worn out.

The new benchmark- Keen Targhee has set the benchmark for this type of shoe. All the "trail shoe" companies have attempted what Keen has nearly perfected. For extra heel lock, cross the laces through the tongue loop, thread each lace under the heel-strap loops- to lock behind the leather loop anchor. You can snug heel well with this lace configuration. I hope this instruction is understood. Hopefully Keen will continue to improve this model, i.e. additional lace options.
Brands I'd also recommend: if your feet are flexible and wide get these

These shoes are so comfortable I don't mind that they fall apart in about 6 months. I'm on my 4th pair. They don't seem to keep my feet dry either but maybe that's because they are coming apart between sole and upper near ball of the foot. Lugs started to tear off last pair. To be fair I weigh 235 lbs and wear a size 13, maybe this shoe is too light duty for my weight, but I do keep buying them because they fit so well right out of the box. No break-in necessary.
