I rarely buy shoes online but I saw these on a friend and fell in love with the color. I read all the reviews prior to ordering about the sizing and even called to learn more. When I called I was told that the 8 and 9 were the last pairs so I ordered both to be safe. Zappos makes it so easy and pleasant to return I had no fear in this approach. I love these shoes. The color is great but more importantly they are comfortable. Really. From the moment I put them on I knew I could walk forever in them. I do a lot of long city walks and these are perfect. Zappos is really wonderful to buy from.

Big disappointment - I had the higher heeled Kork-Ease in the '70s and really loved the shoe. These seem a bit flat and have a "flat" appearance all the way around. Not much shoe for the price.

I love Zappos! I love my new shoes and I love Zappos. My shoes were expensive, but with Zappos’ great return policy I can feel confident in my purchase knowing that if I have a problem with the shoe, then I can return it free of charge with no hassle. Plus Zappos has a great selection.
Brands I'd also recommend: I always refer your website for shoes.

Classic styling and comfort trumps low sex appeal - I ordered this shoe after falling down several times wearing its higher-heeled sister, the Kork-Ease Classic wedge. My chocolate-brown sandals are very easy to wear. A pair of sandals that I slip into almost daily even though I plan to wear a more glamorous pair. The Low-Rider looks best with pants and it is great for the office, walking to work, or going for walks at lunch (if that is your thing). No need to change shoes because these sandals can do the job and still look great with a linen suit. Think of them as loafers for summer. They still could be sexy with the right summer outfit, you know, one that shows some eyelet-fringed cleavage.

Just What I Wanted - I had first seen this shoe with a higher wedge but too high for me. I then ran across the low-rider in Zappos, ordered it and found it PERFECT. I have worn it every day since its arrival and couldn't be happier with both looks and comfort. (I usually wear a 6 1/2 and the 6 was perfect.)

Just as I remember - I had a pair in the 70's and loved them. Wasn't sure if I should splurge on the cost, but I did. They weren't very comfortable the first few times I wore them, but the leather must have stretched and they feel fine now. The chocolate goes with everything and I am very pleased. If there were more color selections in the low rider style, I would buy another pair. Thank you for great service and a lovely product!

I LOVE this shoe! While all other popular on-line retailers are selling these amazing, comfortable, well made, cute shoes - Zappos was the only place I was able to find the low-rider...and in size 11. I'm 6ft tall and while I love and own many of this years 4+ inch wedges and platforms... these are a perfect alternative. They are cute with dresses or jeans and feel amazing. Now I think I'll buy the 3 inch in another color... This was my first experience with Zappos and it was great! Thank you.

Just like the 70s - This was my shoe of choice in the 70s....well the higher version anyway (and they were much less costly back then). The footbed is no longer suede but leather, but just as comfortable. I bought them for nostalgic reasons. Like them very much.

Classic - The low rider is a great summer sandal. They take about two good wearings to break in but after that they are like a second skin. The straps are made of high quality soft leather. I purchased the dark brown color and in 9 and absolutely love them. I am usually a true 8.5 but I am happy with the 9...they fit just right.

Still the best - Love these sandals! I ordered the 8 and 9 because I am usually an 8.5. The 8 fit so perfectly! The light tan color is beautiful. The sandals are comfortable. But I wouldn't think that they are a long distance walking shoe the way I used to think of them in the 70's. That might be more due to the changes in my feet over the last 35 years, (yikes!)and not the sandal.
Brands I'd also recommend: Hard to say they are that special!

Had the high ones… needed the low ones! First of all, can't believe that kork-ease is back in my life... I wore them in the early 70's....I teach kindergarten...needed comfortable shoes because I am on my feet all day....the fit is great and they look terrific with jeans. I love, love, love them...I also love Zappos....the fact that the shoes arrived the day after I ordered them is amazing!

Awesome sandals - I bought a pair in chocolate - they are much better looking "in person" than on the website. I was afraid they would be two-toned, but they are an even dark chocolate brown in real life. They are very well-constructed, the leather is thick and smooth, the sole has lots of traction. These are as comfortable and wearable as my Birks and Earth sandals, but way better looking! I love the height of these wedges. You won't regret spending your money on these sandals once you've seen and tried on the imitations!

Majorly Comfortable - I prefer a jazzier shoe so I almost sent this shoe back.. I tried them on again and realized that they may be THE most comfortable sandals that have ever been on my feet. Perfect support. Lightweight shoe. Quite Great!

Satisfied review - I ordered the Kork-Ease Classic Low Rider on a Saturday and received them on Monday, much to my pleasant surprise. They fit perfectly and look great. I am an in-between size and was, again, pleased to find the fit just right. I had had a pair in the early 1970s that I literally wore out. I don't recall what I originally paid, but do feel that they are now bit pricey and will probably not indulge in another pair for that reason. But overall I'm happy with the purchase and the service.

Kork-Ease's Classic Low-Rider - LOVE these shoes - I first owned them in the late 70's and now they're back. I ordered the Natural color at first but they were way too tight then I ordered the Chocolate Brown and WOW! Do they fit great! You can not go wrong with these shoes:)

So Happy - I wasn't sure if I should order this shoe on line, but I took the chance and I am so glad I did. I wear a perfect size 7M shoe and this fits great. Nothing binds and it is easy to walk in. I think I need to get another color. They go with jeans and summer dresses and Bermuda shorts. They came in two days!! Wow!!

Love the shoe but. . . I bought them in brown and black. The brown fit perfectly but the black pair were very narrow. I mailed them back and ordered another pair. They arrived and were too narrow too. I'm not sure why the inconsistency but am glad Zappos doesn't charge for shipping. I love them so much that I decided to keep them anyway and am having them stretched a bit. My brown pair is SO comfortable that I have a hard time taking wearing anything else!

Comfort and style! The revival of this shoe is a boon to women who are searching the world over for a comfortable shoe with pizzazz. I wear it with skirts, slacks and shorts, and it gives every outfit a groovy look. One caution: the foot bed is a bit too hard. This shoe would be perfect with a padded footbed.

Keeping it simple - Great look and comfort. A classic that I wore back in college days. They used to be much more affordable... don't know why they are so pricey now-a-days. Art lovers check out David Hockney's Celia wearing the higher platform version of the shoe in her red stockings!

As comfy as they were in the 70's - I love my low rise Kork-Ease. They fit true to size and are very comfortable. I wore them for 12 hours straight the first day without a problem. The low wedge does not look frumpy as I thought that it might.

I loved these in 1973 and I love them now - I don't know how many pair of these I had in the 70's but I wore them through college. I recently ordered a pair in the natural color they look and fit as I remember. I wear a 9.5 or a 10 and I'm very glad that I ordered the 10. It just fits. The price is high though for what they are.

Myrna, I wanted it to work out between us, I really did. I ordered these in the campari red color in a 9. Unfortunately, the 9 was a little too big and the 8 was a little too small, so none for me. Also, the sole of the shoes on the pair I got was tan instead of matching red, which seems a small, insignificant detail, but it didn't work for me. I love Kork-Ease and am going to try some of the other styles!

Kork-Ease Low Rider - I ordered these in brown -- the leather is of good quality, not buttery soft like in some shoes but still soft and pliable -- the wedge is covered in a suede (which I don't think you can tell from the picture) -- they have good arch support and are probably a good shoe for an extended time on your feet or for walking -- but they are going back -- they are just the tiniest bit wide -- I usually wear a B width but in reality my feet are just a little narrower than a B (but not as narrow as an A)-- my feet slid forward in them a little and since they are leather they will probably stretch so I would walk through them eventually -- if you are really a bit or a smidge wider they may work.

Beautiful, but... For the cost of the shoe, I wish the buckle hardware and post were a little less flimsy and little bit easier to manipulate. Love the look, wish they had my size in the higher heeled version. Felt a bit narrow and started to hurt my pinky toe, but I kept them anyway, and enjoy looking at them on my foot. :)

Low Rider Kork-Ease a great Alternative - A great alternative to the higher wedge. The shoe is still cute but won't kill my back like the higher ones I wore when I was young.
