Very cute, but too tight across my high-instep, high-arched feet, even without the orthotics I usually wear. Also, this model doesn't have the pull-out felt boot liner I associate with Sorels, that part is my own failure at reading. Returned in favor of Joan of Arctic II, which run larger, fit perfectly with my orthotics, and have the removable, washable liners. :)

I tried this and the Cumberland Lea. The difference is the material of uppers. This Cumberland has a stiff textile upper, not as comfortable or yielding as the Cumberland Lea. Order at least a 1/2 size up for thick socks.

I have two pairs of Sorels, the Caribou and the Cumberland. I like the Cumberlands better because they are lightweight and just easier to walk around in. They keep my feet very warm during the winters in Germany and Colorado. Overall very solid snow boot. Not as "stylish" as other Sorels, but gets the job done.

These boots are warm! Water proof, anti slip, great in the snow. However, I felt the toe box was too short. Not length of toes, but on the top of my foot. The part where the fabric and the rubber meet presses onto my foot and causes a bruise. I thought they would stretch a bit after some wear, but they did not. I have kept them. I wear them, but wish I could do something about that pesky problem.

I bought these boots last week before a huge snowstorm. I was glad that I did. They fit really well - I am between a 7.5 and an 8 but the store only had a 7.5. They fit so I concur with the person who said that they run a little big. I will say that they do not keep my feet as warm as I expected. I went snowshoeing in them and my feet were cold after about 30 minutes. That being said, if you are not spending a lot of time in the snow, they are probably okay, warmth-wise.

Comfy comfy. Alas, while I wear a size 8, they ran at least a half size too big. Ended up returning them.

I wrote a 5-star review ("from Midwest"), but I ended up deciding to return these. There is a lot to love about this boot: it is easy to get on and off; it is comfy and cozy inside; the upper is flexible and soft, not stiff at all; the width is reasonable for someone with wide-ish feet and/or bunion issues. That being said, one deal-breaker for me was heel slippage. If I am going to buy a boot in this price range, I would really like for my heel to be cradled in such a way that it does not slip upwards and then downwards while I am walking. My ideal boot feels like a running shoe or a (well-fitting) hiking boot, which means that I don't go "clop clop clop" when I'm walking. Though I laced up the boot as tightly as I could, I could not get that snug, cradled feeling that I was looking for. I should note that it did help to use shoe inserts and/or heavier socks. Another deal-breaker for me is that these boots are not waterproof. Again, if I'm going to spend in this price range, I would like boots that are waterproof. If you don't mind the boots being water-resistant rather than waterproof, and you don't need a boot that fits like a hiking boot or running shoe, then these boots might be terrific for you. As for me, I'm going to keep looking.

Loved the look got them home and wore them around the house. I knew almost immediately they wouldn't work as my heal kept slipping pulling my socks down. I really wanted these to work but I bought them for show shoeing and I can't have my heal slipping. They were true to size but are going back. I am trying he Northface Betty instead, hope those work!

Purchased these boots because I needed a pair of good quality boots that would keep my feet well insulated while shoveling tons and tons of snow. I have a low cut pair of duck shoes which always leaves my toes frozen and cold after 10 minutes into shoveling. This pair of boots has so far proven its worth. Money well spent. I wear an 8 but 7.5 is ok.

I ordered these boots and listened to what the reviews said, so ordered a half size larger. They were way too big for me. They apparently run big. Also they were heavy. I sent them back. Zappos helped me return and ordered the boot that I wanted. They even shipped them out before the others returned to them. They are a fabulous company to do business with.

Zappos is great. I had the boots two days after I ordered them, and didn't pay any shipping. Awesome boots. They're the first real, new pair of winter boots I've ever owned. Warm and cozy. There's no ankle support, so it feels strange at first, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. I usually wear size 8.5, and it seems a little large for me, but I plan on wearing thick socks, so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, not really any arch support, but I bought insoles and they're super comfy now. Very reasonably priced and well made. They're easy to take on and off. I love everything about them really, and can't wait to go on an all day snow hike to see how comfortable and waterproof they really are.

I really like these boots. It hasn't snowed yet to really test them out, but they feel very comfortable and warm. A size 5 normally fits me perfectly in most brands, so I ordered a 5.5 to have room for 2 pairs of socks (like the other reviewers suggested). The 5.5 is quite a snug fit (too snug for thick wool socks, or two pairs of socks) so I am a bit disappointed. Other reviewers said the next size up is huge and in addition to that I am in Canada so would have to pay the return shipping etc. So I will stick with the 5.5 and who knows, maybe they are so warm I won't need the extra pair of socks anyway!

Nice lightweight snow shoe. I purchased these for a winter vacation in Vermont and they were perfect. Not too heavy or bulky and kept my feet toasty warm while sloshing through the snow.

Sorel does the job - The fit on this shoe is true to size, with room to wear thick socks. It's on the heavy side, but if you're walking in ice and snow like I am in AK, you want a shoe to anchor you in the worst of weather. The fabric upper is very comfortable and does not rub shinbone like some others have done. I would give a BIG thumbs up on this shoe.

Good Cold Weather Boot - This boot is a little snug at the exact size I usually wear, but the next size up was huge. I have an older pair of Sorel's that I had the same issue with but eventually they were very comfortable. I recommend this for a snow boot, but not a work boot for wet weather. Still looking for a good pair of boots for that.

The boot was very narrow over the toes and the heel slipped. But it was very cushiony. I ordered half size larger than I wear but was just to narrow with normal socks. With thick socks made it too tight and the heels still slipped.

I really wanted to like these & keep these boots based on some of the reviews I had read. I was relying on the "wider than marked" remarks of others. I wear a wide width and these did not work for my D width. I tried both the 9.5 and the 10. The two tone is attractive and helps with visibility. Since I am returning them I cannot really tell you how comfortable they are or how warm they are in freezing weather nor how durable they are. Sorry. Perhaps if Sorel starts making wide widths for women, I can buy some again. But it bothers me that women are expected to have a B width shoe and a 30 inseam in pants, while manufacturers have a variety of widths offered to men as well as inseams. That bites. I appreciated all the help I had from the 3 Zappos.com employees to find a winter boot that will meet my needs.

These boots are pretty cute and felt like they would be comfortable, EXCEPT they are very tight across the top of my foot, which left no room to wiggle your toes, which is crucial to stay warm in really cold temps. The shape of the molded rubber part dips way down around where it meets the fabric part and presses on my foot. I actually have long, but skinny/narrow feet and it was still an issue for me. Maybe a bigger size would help, but they didn't feel too short in length. Also, I normally wear an 8 in shoes and ordered a 9 to be safe, still didn't fit. I unfortunately had to return them.

I love the look of these boots, and they appear to be very well made. I will be returning them, though, because they are just too narrow. I have wide feet, and normally I can accommodate that by ordering a 1/2 size up. I hoped this would be the case for these boots, but unfortunately it was not. Back to the drawing board...

I did not have a good experience with these. The first pair I got had something like a tack sticking out of the sole, then the second pair was retaining moisture. I tried different socks that were for moisture control, even changed insole, but never fear Zappos is here. I called and explained what was happening and they without any problem helped me out. I am now trying the Bogs as I work outside and they had good reviews. Overall the fit was good. Thanks, Zappos, I love you guys and the energy that you have!

I really liked the versatility of these shoes, they are relatively lightweight (compared to the Caribou) and warm. I usually wear 7½-8 and ordered a size 8. The overall fit was good, however, my big toes were touching the top of the shoes, so I knew that it would be uncomfortable if wearing them for any length of time. They will be returned.

I bought these boots based on the reviews and although I find them to be very comfortable and stylish, I bought them for warmth. I had a trip in zero degree weather and needed something to keep my feet warm. These boots were rated for -25 so I thought they would be perfect. With 2 pairs of socks and foot warmers in the toes of the boots, I could not keep my feet warm. I am pretty disappointed given the wonderful reviews. I will probably be looking for another pair of boots...again.

Just bought these boots and I'm not impressed. They are entirely too casual for anything besides walking the dog. They are waterproof, I will give them that, but they get dirty fast and are impossible to tie snugly due to the inconvenient lacing system. Worst of all, they are no better than regular gym shoes on the ice, which is what I was counting on them for. Overall, while they are not horrible, I would not buy them again.

My right foot is a true size 9, my left foot is more like a 9.5. With some boots it doesn't matter; with these, it did. The left boot cut into the top of my foot right where the rubber joins the leather.

Love the looks of these boots on my feet, but they are narrow and slip quiet a bit in the heel. I think a size bigger would make them too clunky. Have to send these back. :(
