These shoes should last an entire lifetime as they are superbly made with extraordinary leather. I didn't pay attention to those who said to get a half size smaller. It was not a problem to order a size smaller which were, as it turned out, perfect. They do need to be broken in because of all the leather. Made in America is important to me. Love them! Love Zappos!

Look great! I have been stopped and asked where I purchased them. If your familiar with Frye footwear, they're a bit heavy. The thick leather stretches, so I recommend going 1/2 size down.

Life-changing. When I had my daughter 15 years ago, the bones in my feet spread & now I have an extremely wide foot (size 9W). For 15 years, I've been only wearing sneakers & Uggs. I have a half-dozen other 2" heels in my closet that I sometimes suffer through a few hours of wear at a time - that's all I can stand, my feet hurt so bad from too-narrow shoes. Threw them all away now that I have these beauties! I've tried on (literally) thousands of pairs of shoes. None fit. Until now - this & another pair of Frye mules ("Carson Clog" in color Tan, with a 2" heel). I was just gearing up to plan a trip to an out-of-state boot-maker to have something custom-made, which would have cost $500-$1K for a single pair. As a last ditch effort, I ordered these 2 Frye mules, Hallelujah! They fit, have a sturdy, comfy heel, breathe (so no stinky feet), look great, feel great, at a great price even when not on sale! I am now going to try to scour the marketplace for years to come to find a few more pair. I just can't believe they fit, and feel great, and look great, and have a heel, and are obviously a craftsman-quality product which will last indefinitely! No, they are not runway 5" heel Manolo Blahnik's or Christian Louboutin or whatever, but I'd never wear a heel that high at all, even occasionally. I am so thrilled with these 2 pair of Frye's! By the way, I'm a 9W & ordered a size 9 in each - these black pair fit perfectly (not too long at all), while the Tan also fit me (because I need the width). I would suggest on that other pair that anyone who has a normal or narrow-width foot could likely go down a 1/2 size in length. But in this Black Mule Clog, they are dead-on perfect size. Yes they are heavy. This is what a quality shoe feels like - the leather is so thick, the finish is glossy, the heel is sturdy, the sole is thick, and that all adds up to a heavy shoe. Don't even notice it once it's on, my feet just feel snuggly & comfy! Gazillions of compliments, everyone asking me where I got them. Enjoy!

What a wonderful surprise to buy a pair of Fryes. I had a pair of boots in college and all but forgot about them. These mules fit great and look great. I am really hard on shoes but these mules kick it! Zappos rocks too!

First time ordering shoes online - was a little concerned about how this would work. The ordering was really easy - came REALLY fast - and this was over Xmas - in like 2 days. Shoes are PERFECT - love them, love them, love them. They are comfortable, they are incredibly stylish, they are solid and look like they will last a very long time. In fact, I had to go out to get new clothes to show off these shoes - I wear them at least 4 days a week. Now I have to save up to get the same shoes in brown. I heard these fit 1/2 size small - they do so that was good advice. The whole process was super easy - will use this site again.

Takes a little time to break in - These shoes are so cool, but they are heavy and take a little time to break in. After that, it is nothing but good looks.

The BEST - made in the USA! These are SO cool! I now own two pair. Your ankles don't get all hot and sweaty, they stay on fine and are super comfortable. Just be sure your jeans are long enough to cover the top and you've got that awesome biker cool look!

Frye-an American classic - You cannot go wrong with a Frye shoe or boot-maximum quality. It is a heavy shoe, but is great when broken in. Comfortable and attractive. Love these shoes!!!

Cute, but needs to be broken in - The shoes are very cute. The sizing is correct, but a bit narrow at the toe. I wear them with black dress socks and they are still a bit tight in the toe. I've worn them all day three times now and they are starting to form to my foot better. They have kept my feet toasty this winter and look super with a pair of jeans and a black leather jacket. One additional note... they are heavy. I'll be getting these in brown, too. Worth the price.

Hybrid Motorcycle and Cowboy Mule - Great shoe if you want the look of a boot without all the extra weight and girth around your leg. Definitely order 1/2 size smaller if you like to wear mules without socks. Shoe isn't THAT heavy, but it does have the weight of 1/2 of a boot. Good value for the money as the shoe will last a long time.

TRUE TO SIZE, QUALITY! I just bought these in size 9. I take a 9 but prefer 9.5 because I have wide feet. 10 is way too big. I read the reviews mostly saying these run large so I bought a 9. They fit snug but a perfect 9 in length. I think if your foot is narrow they may feel large and because they are heavy, it would enhance this feeling. Don't get on a scale with these! I expect these to last forever... I will wear these with everything, shorts, skorts, capris, jeans and even more dressy pants. I got black. I love American made products that are quality products, and these are quality! Thanks FRYE!

Fabulous Shoe - I have wanted a pair of black Frye boots for a long time. This style is lighter in weight and accomplishes the same boot look. I love them. They are comfortable and stylish. I did order a 1/2 size smaller as recommended by other reviewers and they fit perfect.

Worth the $!!! I just bought these mules and they are great. They are heavy, but seem comfortable so far. They do run big, so I bought a ½ size smaller. You can tell that you will have these boots forever because to their quality. Great buy!!

Love this Mule. I love them. They are a little heavy, but they don't feel that way on your feet. Comfortable beyond anything. Sometimes on the top of my right foot I get soreness, but maybe this foot is bigger than the other. I am sure it is just my feet. Wouldn't stop me from getting another pair. I wish the heel was a bit higher, but again, my opinion. I love them and would strongly recommend them. They are pricey, but will last. Very well made and the name says it all, Frye. Buy them for sure. Very cute and stylish.
