I purchased this boot for my wife, who always complains of cold feet. I had a similar pair of boots a few years ago, and loved them... my feet were always toasty, and I thought for sure that this pair of boots would be great for her as well. Unfortunately, she thinks that these boots look too large on her feet, so I am going to return them. Next time I think that I'll just get her a pair of flip flops. But I would recommend these boots to any normal human being...

I love these boots but its slippery sole made it impossible for me to wear in the city. Do not wear these boots if you will be walking on slippery surfaces. I almost fell a number of times when walking in subway stations. Then I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my tailbone. All because the sole has no traction on wet surfaces. They are great for treking outside but that is it. Inside it feels like you are trying to walk on oil. That iss too bad because the rest of the boot is great.

Something about the sizing of the Caribou boot is way off. The 8 in the Tivoli II fits me perfectly (I'm usually a 7.5) but the 8 in the Caribou feels more like a 9-10. I've tried two pair of Caribou boots over the past month with the same result. Loved the look of this boot, but not the boot for me I guess.

I consulted the Sorel website and followed their sizing recommendations before ordering. The recommended size was huge on me. My feet are a bit narrow, but fairly average. The shoes are super heavy and bulky too. I was expecting this on some level, but was disappointed that these would add so much weight for outdoor adventures. I wasn't in love with the styling when they arrived so its not worth the effort to continue to find the right size.

I wear a 7.5 I purchased a 7.5 because reviews said these ran big and were clunky. True. I have plenty of room in the 7.5 These boots offer a lot of room. Very happy with the fit of these. Haven't played in the snow yet with them, but I'm sure they will be great!

WIDE FEET-LOOK NO FURTHER!! I have tried so many boots to find one that was warm enough for Idaho winters and yet fit my wide foot. Could not find any at N Face, and tried the sorel joan of the arctic, tivoli and glacy. Other than the glacy and the caribou, the rest could not accommodate a wide foot. I chose the glacy as an everyday type waterproof winter shoe and the caribou for snow. Even with my wide foot I can wear smart wool socks. The boots are heavy, weighed in at 5 lbs and are cumbersome to put on/off but the comfort of a boot that fits my wide foot is so worth it! I am happy to finally have found a wide boot that is warm. I bought 1/2 size smaller than normal if i don't buy wide and my normal size in a a wide width shoe.

So this is a great winter boot and serves its purpose especially living in New England. They are a clunky looking. I'm a size 7 but when I look down at my feet they look quite large in these boots. I also feel like I might walk a little funny in them since they are a heavy boot. Trekking through the snow and ice is what I bought them for and these boots accommodate that.

These are the first snow boots that I have ever owned, but I have had many waterproof hiking boots worn with very thick wool socks in the past. These are so clunky and big they made me feel like bigfoot. My feet are not narrow, my feet are not small, so it is definitely the boots. These are great if you live in Alaska I guess, but for tooling around in the snow in Yosemite, they are not the thing, unless you are planning to inhabit the snow, I guess. But not walking boost, really. They are way heavy and clumsy.

I typically wear a 9 shoe and dress boot. I ordered these boots in a sizes 9, 8.5 and 8. They were huge, even with a nice ski sock. I ended up buying a size 7 boot which works well with a ski sock. I love these boots but did find they run very big....and there's not much difference between a full size and half size. I feel these boots run a little wide in the toe box but I'd rather have them a little wide than too narrow, particularly when wearing them to walk or snowshoe. I live in the mountains of Colorado and these boots are very, very popular. They are definitely warm!

Brands I'd also recommend: North Face

The worst boot quality I have ever experienced. The polymer rubber below the leather is the worst at defeating flexing fatigue. I bought these in November 2014 and just saw that the flexing before the toe box have multiple cracks on each side of each boot. The cracks now allow moisture to seep in and in no time, there will be a hole. I reported this to Sorel and since I am two weeks outside of reporting this, the one year warranty will not cover me. They offer a 10% discount on the purchase of another pair. WOW! Quite the consolation for a this much per pair of boots that look like new, but lots of flexing cracks that should not be there.

I am posting this review to help anyone who wears EE width and has bunions. These Caribou boots are plenty wide and comfortable! Out of all the Sorel boots I tried on, these felt the best on my very wide feet. They are also stylish and look great with jeans. Yes, they are heavy and a little clunky but the comfort makes up for that.

These boots are made well. The color is a nice gray (shale) color that goes great with everything. The only down fall a little heavy and looks huge. I wore them for the first time yesterday at 23 degrees with skinny jeans and a chunky sweater...looked cute and keep my feet toasty warm! Can't wait to wear in the snow.

Best winter boot for northern New England and its 22' of annual snow. Feels as comfortable as a sneaker. Warm for hockey games in frigid rinks. Able to snowshoe and do outdoor activities. Love my grey Caribou boots. I wear thick Smartwool socks and boots are true to size. My only negative is that often when I take the off, the sock comes out with my foot. Love them so much bought the Caribou for my husband, and he loves his too.

I have had a pair of Sorel boots for 32 years. The only reason I need new ones are finally the tread has worn down. They are incredibly warm and water proof too! They are worth the money!

These are not dressy boots for skirts. These are fabulously warm, super comfortable CLASSIC snow proof cold winter boots. My foot is short and wide. I can wiggle my toes in the nice round end. I got 1/2 size larger for extra layers of socks and my feet tend to be claustrophobic--the laces tighten up and hold my foot in place.

These boots are very wide and generously sized. I had to wear a thick pair of wool socks to take up the added width. The boots keep your feet very warm but the rubber bottom started splitting within the first year. They are also heavy so if you do a lot of walking expect to have leg fatigue.

After a horrendous NYC winter last year, I decided to invest in a pair of legit winter boots so my poor toes don't freeze off. Of all the winter boots out there, Sorel really has some of the nicest looking ones, including this. Unfortunately, I decided to return it for the following reasons: - I'm petite so these boots look HUGE on me - They're really heavy and you feel like you're getting a work out. I only had them on for a few min. trying them out so I can't even imagine what a few hours will feel like I realize that's it's built that way to keep your feet warm but for me, I just need something lighter and less bulky. Luckily, I found another pair of Sorel boots that alleviated the 2 issues below. It's the Sorel Women's 1964 Pac Graphic 15 Boot. Much lighter and it didn't make me feet like ridiculous. Also, those boots keep your feet warm up to -25 degrees F whereas these boots can go up to -45 degrees F.

I ordered this product from Zappos on line and it fit perfectly. I was hesitant to order on line as I am uncomfortable getting anything unless I try thing before trying them on, but this was the best experience I had. the ordering was easy, I got the product in few days and saved on gas! how? I did not have to go through the hassle of driving from one place to another to get disappointed and not find the size I wear. Great experience.

Love these boots. After reading the reviews saying they run big, I decided to size down a 1/2 size. Good thing I did. They fit perfect. I won't know how well they fair in the snow/cold just yet, but I love the look, feel and comfort!

These just arrived today. I was looking for something to take for a winter trip to the north cape, and I think these will be perfect. According to their size chart, I needed a 9.5. I normally wear a 10, and based on other reviews, I ordered a half size larger. So, I ordered the 10.5. They are very roomy, but when I add a thick sock, they are perfect. I may have been able to get away with a 10, but they weren't available so I'll just stick with these and wear the socks. The tag says they will be good for up to -40 degrees f. They seem a bit heavy, but again, I want to be nice and warm. I'm sure they will be great as well for shoveling snow this winter as well.

I needed a good boot to keep my feet warm and dry while I waited at the bus stop in the winter. This boot was definitely warm enough. Also used it for walks in the winter time. They are a bit bulky for walks but kept my feet warm.

So disappointed in how these have held up. I bought these toward the end of the Chicago winter season. One month into the next season and they cracked. I still wear them, but still disappointed whenever I notice the crack. If I'm out in the elements for awhile, I notice the wet seeping in, leaving me with wet, cold feet.

These are SO heavy! Find it very difficult to walk in them. They are relatively cute, warm and waterproof but it's a workout to try walk in these. Also cannot be worn for driving as you can't feel the pedals. I'll keep them for shoveling snow but not what I was looking for, for commuting back and forth to work and wearing throughout the work day.
