I loved the sole and the weight of these shoes, felt like there was good arch support but the toe box was just not wide enough for me even in the "wide" I would by these in a minute if they came in a ee, sadly returned them.

The New Balance 889 sneakers are very comfortable and supportive. I like the cushioning and the tread on the soles. After wearing the shoes around the house and out shopping once, I began wearing them for 2 and 3 mile walks and hikes. The RL3 last used for these shoes fits my somewhat narrow foot well. I sized up to a half size wanting to make sure I had enough toe room. I like the ripstop nylon and suede upper for the cooler weather. I ordered on Sunday and got the shoes on Tuesday. Very happy!

Normal width shoes usually are too tight for me so I purchased a 10 W. My feet are 10x4. It felt loose in some places, but felt functional overall. This shoe also looks like it's made of quality materials. The sole helps keep my foot stable, and the exterior of the shoes is stiff enough to keep my feet from sliding off the base.

I had a complete ACL replacement, torn meniscus repair, and fractured tibia repair. New Balance sneakers have saved me from the world of orthopaedics forever! I do use an insole for additional arch support b/c of my injury, but these offer decent arch support and for comfort can't be beat. I wore them through 4 Disney parks in 3 days and my knee didn't hurt at all!! Great shoe at a great price, true to size, and cute.

Very comfortable. I found these a bit small as I needed to go to an 8.5 when I typically wear an 8. The wide was true to size for anyone who wears a C or D width.
