Where the classic 1460 style was being used by mailmen, union workers, and factory workers, it soon became popular among the masses. The 1460 continues to thrive, symbolizing individualism, originality, and taps into a individual's unique style who's willing to make that bold statement.
Dr. Martens doesn't think of itself as a "shoe" brand, but rather a way of thinking, a self-expression if you must. Popularly known as Doc Martens, they allow you to feel free to rock your grunge shorts, spike up your hair to the heavens, show off your body art, whatever floats your boat. So whether you call them Dr. Martens, Doc Martens or just Docs there are no limits to your creativity.

Love these boots and get compliments every time I wear them. They are comfortable and classic. I am a size 8 and according to their size chart I should order a UK 6. They were too big, I had to order a full size smaller and they are perfect.

Dr. Martens are crap. Every pair that I have ever owned has fallen apart within six months. I have sworn that I will never buy another pair. They are cheaply made and a waste of money.

These boots have it all: style, function, and comfort. These are my second pair of Dr Martens and I'm kicking myself for not ordering them sooner. If you get these, you won't be disappointed.

The boots are perfect! I was a little worried that they would be too big after reading other reviews, but they fit just fine. I like to slip my boots on and off quickly, The buckle is a little tight but I can still slip them on and off. I wanted a combat boot but found that ones made for women weren't chunky enough and were too narrow. These boots are exactly what I was looking for. If you're looking for a more subtitle, girly look, I would go with a different boot.

My daughter loves these boots. They are rugged, cool looking and, this year, at least, the hot style. My daughter is 14. My only complaint is that Dr. Martens is overpricing their shoes.

I love this boot. Well made, stylish, and comfortable. My only wish is that it was a little shallower in the top of the foot. There is just too much room in that area so my foot moves around a bit in the shoe, and I can't get the laces any tighter! these are definitely a bit on the large side when I compare them with other Doc Marten boots that I have.

Based on other reviews I ordered a half size larger than normal (I wear a 10.5, and ordered an 11). The width was perfect, but I had some wiggle room front to back, and the boots felt roomy in general. I bought some decent insoles, and inserted them over the factory ones, leading to a snug and comfortable fit. The day after I got the insoles, I walked about 3 miles in rain and mud and my feet stayed perfectly dry and warm! I have received several compliments, and my only complaint is the tread has a tendency to collect mud logs, which harden and pop out on my carpet. Perhaps I will purchase a door mat!
