I usually wear a size 5 but at the suggestion of other Old Gringo buyers I ordered a half size larger; they felt like a 5.5. The 10 inch shaft height is nice but the 13.5 circumference was too roomy for me. Zero cushion. Stitching and leather are beautiful. Although the description says the outer sole is leather it looked and felt like hard molded plastic or rubber. Returning.

This is my first western boot purchase, boot purchase, and first pair of shoes with a leather sole. I am impressed with how great these boots look! They go with so many things- from a casual look, to a more dressy look because of the detailed stitching. Being new to leather-soled shoes, I was a little surprised with how slippery they were on the carpet initially. I am now somewhat concerned about how fast the sole is wearing, just wearing the shoes around town. I think they are so cute and versatile, I have contemplated ordering the black pair in the same style. They seemed just a big too long, but since they are boots, I can make them work with thicker socks. I figured I would most likely wear them in the winter when wearing with wool socks would be preferable, anyway. I don't think I could have taken a smaller size unless I wore with trouser socks, and then my feet would be too cold in the winter! Overall, just love these boots.

Another great boot from Old Gringo! These are perfect for casual, everyday wear. Very Comfortable right out of the box and are true to size. The green color is a nice army/olive color and is very cool with jeans!

I bought these boots to replace a pair of Ariat brown boots that I have worn out. I love these boots. They are shorter in height than Ariat's I own, but these are very comfortable. I would buy more, but these boots are very expensive for me. Zappos ships very fast. Excellent service too!

Founders Yan Ferry and Ernie Tarut decided to combine Yan’s bootmaking and design skill with Ernie’s years of experience in leather manufacturing to create boots of superior style and quality. Thus Old Gringo was born. The first Old Gringo factory opened in 2000 with a collection of original, vintage and retro styles. These styles bridged the gap between western style and pure fashion.
Every Old Gringo boot goes through one hundred-ten individual steps, performed by skilled craftsman. This is a very time-intensive process, but the consistent application of these skills is required to make a superior quality boot. Old Gringo produces and tans their own leathers in colors, textures and finishes to meet the meticulous demands of their designers. After carefully selecting the finest grade of leather, the leathers undergo a detailed tanning process. Each of the next steps, from cutting the upper materials to assembling the insoles and outsoles are critical in the construction of the perfect boot.

I was little concerned when I ordered these because I kept reading in Old Gringo reviews that the sizing could be iffy. These pair are so comfortable and have the modest yet detailed look I was going for. The toe is just perfect and my foot does not feel pinched at all. I can wear them all day! The silhouette is beautiful and when they get up close people always are wowed!

Great boot! Got tons of compliments and was able to wear/walk in them all day - my only concern is that if you have a high instep like I do the boot will fit very tight across at first but did give after a couple hours. Also I wear 11.5 -12 and was comfortable in these in an 11.

I totally fell in love with these boots. I take a 7 1/2 but with socks I thought I would order an 8 but they only had 8 1/2 left. I ordered the 8 1/2 and I cant get them on my feet. I am so disapointed. This tells you how off in size they are. Still, they are beautiful and appear to be comfortable. I am heartbroken, but I would recommend them - buy 2 sizes larger! Also, there are only small sizes left.

So glad I ordered these. I love the olive green, and the stitching is beautiful. They have that "already worn look", and they feel comfortable. No room for a thick sock.

I like them. Wore them right away with no problem. I have narrow feet so they felt a little wide, but still comfortable. I like the green and the design. Seemed a little wide at the top as well - I have normal size calves, but I know some cowboy boots are made to be wide intentionally. I'll keep them.

This is a beautiful boot with a very unique, striking green color and comfortable fit (the ball of my foot is a bit wide). I think it's worth the money and I highly recommend it!
