The name MOZO has historically referred to the hardest working guy on the ranch, the guy you went to if you had something that needed to get done. Today, MOZO continues the tradition of honoring the one who bears the burden… but in a new way. MOZO believes that at their core, culinary professionals are the perfect combination of artist and athlete. Creative performers who don't consider their work to be a job, rather, their art.
So today, MOZO collaborates with elite Chefs to develop revolutionary footwear for professionals. But these are not endorsers… these are designers. Marcus Samuelsson (Top Chef Masters, Chopped, Red Rooster Harlem Restaurant), Aarón Sánchez (Chopped, Chefs vs. City, Heat Seekers, Centrico Restaurant), and Chris Cosentino (Chefs vs. City, Incanto Restaurant, Boccalone Salumeria) have designed their own signature footwear for MOZO.
MOZO footwear is engineered to perform to the standards of the hardest-working kitchens in the world. Comfort – with gel cushioning and exclusive TripleFit System™; Safety – with Spider Traction™ slip-resistant bottoms; and most importantly, STYLE – with the Chef Signature Collection.

I work long hours as a chef. Please don't buy these shoes. I've owned them for three months and the sole is already falling off. Not worth the money.

Awesome. I've been in restaurant work for 15 years and these are the best I've tried. I used to wear Sanitas clogs and the feel is similar, though with less of a heel. The advantage of this over a clog though, is that I can easily swap out the insole. Though the base insole is decent, my knees are shot, so I use Soft Sole Airr. The combo is perfect!

I tried half a size down because they seem to run half a size larger than marked but the heel was still a bit too wide because of the gores on the size and because these are high volume shoes. Too bad because they are cute on!

Loved the simple look of this shoe, a lot like my old favorite Merrell mocs which now are too narrow in their toe box, Merrell having seemingly to have changed their lasts--boo! Mozo has extra shims so you can customize the fit of these "working" shoes which I really liked. I replace their inserts with my custom orthotic but this style can only be fitted so far because of its design and the shoe is high volume, wider heel with a heel cup that is not quite deep enough to grab the back of my own heels well. I wear a 7.5 Medium shoe and the length was perfect as was the width (just too much volume even with heavier socks). I do have a narrower heel (Merrell's and Clarks work well here for me) than this style of Mozo can accommodate so these will go back! As usual Zappos is the best for service and offerings. I had never heard of this brand before. The search engine brought it to my attention.
I'd also recommend: Clarks Artisan, Wave, and Un-lines, Born (if you don't need orthotics), Brooks, Merrell (also if you don't need orthotics), some Ecco styles.
