Excellent new MBT. I've been wearing MBT's for years, but in the past few years the styles, haven't fit well: straps too tight, foot bed to narrow, heel too lose,etc. They all felt off and not as well constructed as the originals. But the Mahuta takes us back to the beginning and then some: It's well made: It is snug in the heel, no gaps or slippage, offers comfy arch support and holds the foot securely while letting it breathe through the material, plus they're cute. I live i NYC, right out-of-the-box, these shoes wore well and comfortably for an entire day of walking the city streets. I just bought my second pair. I had tried the Shape-Ups, and had wanted (especially with their cheaper price tag) to like them but they are poor copies and never fit as well, or seemed as well constructed as the MBTS. The MBT Mahuta is my new absolute favorite shoe.

These shoes allowed me to walk around the living room while I tried them on, with no pain in my heel. They are really amazing in an instant cure of plantar fascia pain. However! the shoe was too shallow in the toe box even though it was long enough. I have to send them back due to pressure on my left big toe. My left foot is slightly larger. These shoes are light, but the mesh is more like the stiff mesh of the Merrell mary jane. It is not a giving mesh. Honestly, guys, this price? I hope the Masai are getting some kickback on this.

I bought these shoes on the advice of my orthopedist because of a neuroma. Surprisingly, they have also helped my back, in addition to taking the weight off my neuroma and transferring it to the mid-portion of my foot, as my doctor told me it would. Evidently this was helpful for my back, as well. While the style leaves something to be desired (I am a shoe lover), the comfort factor overwhelms the fashion lover in me. I am able to walk farther in comfort and my back and foot are comfortable. I've worn these shoes now for 6 months and they don't look worn at all in spite of being virtually the only shoes I wore before the weather turned warm, when I bought MBT sandals. Now that the neuroma is gone, I just wear them for my back.

Just received my shoes-great fit and lighter than my original MBTs that I have had for 7 years! This shoe, the Mahuta, is very light and not ugly like my original shoes! My feet never hurt when I wear my MBTs.

In comparison to other MBT styles, Mahuta's foundation is lower and less steep. As for quality of materials and craftsmanship, it is well-made.

I love these shoes. I usually wear a 9.5 but ordered the size 10 since it has been my experience that MBT's seem to run a half size small. The shoes fit perfectly and arrived the day after I ordered in time for my morning walk. The shoes correct my posture while walking, thus supporting existing back problems. Great delivery Zappos! You rock!

I wear a 7.5 in a regular shoe, but I'm usually an 8 in an athletic shoe so wasn't sure about size. Ordered both 38 and 39. 38 fits well.

If you have wider feet and are looking for a smartly tailored exercise shoe from MBT, give the Mahuta a try. The toe box isn't as roomy as the Sport 2, but because the uppers are mostly fabric. These shoes have a lot of give and will break in very comfortably. Unlike the Sport 2, the Mahuta looks like regular walking/jogging shoes, and they're lighter, too. Now, the MBT people will tell you not to "run" in these, but if you're like me, and your style is closer to a shuffle (or if you're walking for exercise), these will work really well...and won't turn heads (the giggle kind) if you show up to a 10K wearing these like you might with the Sport 2's, which look like a pair of kid's platform sneakers. Ever since I discovered MBTs, I no longer experience pain from plantar fasciitis or the heel spur on my right foot (which was one of the the original reasons I stopped jogging some years back). I'm now regularly "shuffling" in these, and they are holding up great!

I love these shoes. This is my second pair of MBTs. The last one fell apart after four years of walking 18 miles a week. They are so well made and surprisingly warm enough for Boston winters. This new style is very good looking; it minimizes the rocker sole. And the color is gorgeous.

Unlike conventional sneakers, my feet are not tired. I wear these MBT shoes every day! I have five different pairs of MBT shoes, I love them!

These shoes are great! A wonderful improvement on the original. Much lighter and less "tall" than the original MBT. Still gives the same great workout to the back of the thigh muscles. The circulation in my feet is greatly improved when I wear these for an hour a day. I use them on my treadmill and I will never be able to go back to regular sneakers. The fit is a bit small. I wear a size 10 normally and had to go with the 11. They are slightly more narrow than the original.

The most comfortable MBTs I have had. My only complaints are that the soles wear out too fast. Also, it would be better if the heel was a bit more stable- just a bit of flare the outside edge.

Great shoe and color. Nice enough to where into the office. Great for running out at lunch. The MBT support makes my whole body feel good. My fourth pair. All different styles. Love them!

The first pair I ordered felt a little small, even though I ordered my usual size. The replacement pair fit perfectly and I am enjoying wearing them whilst walking and using the treadmill, although I know they are not really for treadmill use. Zappos is the best to deal with, making exchanges very easy, and dealing with things promptly. Thank you Zappos.
