I love the classic styling of Kelty in general and this duffel is a nice addition. It's really well made, with leather details and cordura fabric -- which is strong and light. The one drawback is that it's ridiculously small for a duffel bag. I thought long and hard about the size I'd need before I purchased it, and you should be aware of what you're getting. I can cram gym shoes, flip flops, protective eyewear, a racquetball, deodorant, lotion, gym clothes, sweatbands and earbuds into this bag, but it's a seriously tight squeeze. I didn't want a huge duffel bag for my gym equipment, because I commute daily and something huge would just get left at home, so the size works for me. The handles are long and sturdy, and the crossbody strap is made of sturdy webbing, but there's no shoulder pad attached. Overall, I recommend this bag, because it looks good and does what I need it to do, but it's definitely smaller than you'd expect for the price.

Like this bag (style/size) as I live in NYC and need to carry my gym stuff to/from work. It's large enough to fit shorts, shirt, sneakers but small enough to toss over my back without the added bulk of many other bags. Made extremely well. The videos are very helpful in demonstrating how large it looks on your frame. This works perfectly for me!

In 1952, Dick Kelty, a carpenter, builder, and avid outdoorsman, started making backpacks for his friends in the Sierra Club for 24 bucks a pop. His friends were grateful. These 24-dollar packs revolutionized backpacking, implementing for the first time Kelty's ideas of a hipbelt and lighter aluminum frames. Soon, Kelty and his friends were exploring the Sierra Nevadas with heavy loads, no shoulder pain, going farther, longer, and happier into the wilderness than ever before. Five years later, Dick Kelty quit his carpentry business to start an outdoor gear company. Staked out in an old garage, he welded aluminum tubes into frames while his wife, Nena, cut, sewed, and fitted the pack bags. Today, Kelty gear promises the same dedication to innovation and getting outdoors that Dick Kelty had forty-eight years ago. Kelty started as a company making it easier for friends to enjoy the wilderness, and that's what Kelty still does. Kelty just has a few more friends.
