The bag is as described. Big, roomy and easy to work with. I use it as a briefcase and particularly like the easy access to the laptop area, and other pocketss even while the bagflap is closed.

I was looking all over for a computer messenger bag for my boyfriend's birthday - and large 17" laptop - and and this is one of the biggest messenger bags I could find, with great pockets and detail. He goes to video game conventions with a large computer, camera, chargers, video camera, smaller laptop; so I am thinking everything will fit, but not at all the way I expected! When I got the bag, the computer didn't fit into the main padded compartment, but it did fit into another compartment. I am bummed out! He has an Asus 17", and the dimensions of the computer fit the max. Dimensions given in the description, but the bag does not take into consideration the thickness of the computer (this always happens)! It would be nice if the main computer compartment expanded a little bit.

Great quality, and just barely fits my massively oversized "mobile workstation" (HP 8740w). Completely satisfied with the purchase, only wish that it offered means to carry the common laptop accessories (mouse, power adapter, duplex headset) other than just dumping them all in the huge storage pocket, which could fit a small child. Some of the pockets they do offer wouldn't hold much more then an index card. Odd. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Love the bag, though it is a bit heavy for a messenger bag. You can't beat the quality and can tell from day one that it is amazingly durable. I'm not a huge fan of the clasps. They really aren't needed as the velcro is super strong. The TSA approved compartment for a laptop zips out so it lays flat...takes some getting used to when in line at security, but makes the process easier to speed up. Nice feature. All in all, it was a good purchase.
