These boots are wonderful for people with athletic calves! I have a 16.5" circumference calf and I have the hardest time finding knee high boots. But these slide over my jeans easily! They're a bit slouchy in the ankle area, but I believe that's a small price to pay. They're a little wide in the heel and a little narrow in the toe area. And in terms of shoe fit, they're a bit too long. Ordering half a size smaller might make the shoe way too narrow though so I'll stick with my 8.5 even though it's a bit loose on the foot.

Wow, love these boots! I'm surprised at how many people don't understand these boots! Comments like "baggy ankles" and "didn't expect them to be so tall" - these boots are obviously meant to be able to fold over at the top - cuff when you want it, and slouch if you want it. Really soft suede, really comfortable, really hot style!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots. They are great quality and look really good with leggings...they do come over my knee just a bit which I wasn't expecting but like very much. Love Zappos!

These are the best boots I ever owned. They look awesome with your jeans tucked in them. They come up to the knee loosely and look like pirate boots. They are so comfortable with the low heel but still super sexy.

These boots were great. I ordered half a size smaller like everyone suggested and they fit great. However they are a bit big in the heel but I am going to purchase some insoles to make for a more snug fit. Also, these boots were on the endless site and were shown in a much lighter color than shown on Zappos, but they are true to color as shown on the Zappos site. Beautiful soft suede and relaxed slouchy style. I ordered these boots mostly for the color and the simple style and was not dissapointed. These are a good buy.

These boots run about a half size large. They felt a little snug on top of the foot, but formed to the foot once I got them on - with an insert. My calves are just a little larger than average, and they fit me. My daughter has calves large enough that knee high boots quite often are too snug, and these fit her also. They are made of a wonderfully soft leather, come in basic brown and black (and a great grey!), and can be worn above the knee, just below the knee and at the ankle. Classic design and very versatile!

My quest is over! I ordered these on another site. They got horrible reviews, mainly because they were too wide in the calves on the slender-calf gals. That is why I tried them. I have been looking for years for a tall, low-heeled pull-on boot without goring or zippers that is stylish and hip and will fit my large calves! These do all that, but the leather is soft and beautiful, and the soles are quiet and non-slip. I originally ordered the chestnut. The second I tried them on, I loved them so much, I dashed to the computer to order them in black also. I am a fit woman, 5'4", wear a size 6 clothing, but the calf thing has been an issue. I sent back the Frye Cindy Slouch boots because the ankles were sloppy, the calf a little snug, the shaft could have been taller, and the soles/heels were slippery. The Nicole Right Now are cheaper and the leather is just as lovely. Don't hesitate to buy these if you have large calves! You will not be disappointed! Order half size smaller.

Really nice boot for the price. I bought them at a shoe store in my area. They were described as 4 in 1 boot and believe me I tried all 4 looks and they all looked great! The leather is very soft and thin, but they don't look cheap. Like others stated order a size smaller. They do run large. I usually buy a size 8.5, with these I bought an 8 and still have to return them for a 7.5! I love them!

I love Zappos! I am a shoe lover from birth; the boot I bought this season met all of my expectations and it was much cheaper than what I found in stores near me. Shopping Zappos.com is always easy with their site search options and there are never any issues with deliveries or receipts. I recommend shopping with Zappos to everyone I know.

I bought these elsewhere, but they are so great that I just have to tell everyone! I have large calves so I have never been able to find a tall boot that fit me ever before and I am 50ish. These boots fit me perfectly and are not too big at the top like all the "wide calf" boots out there. Yes, the leather is soft, but is of very high quality. I tried them on without jeans first and they fit over my knee, look great and stay up. Then I tried them with my (very) skinny jeans and they also fit, although I did have to cuff them. Even cuffed they come to my knee. I am hoping that I will be able to get them in black at Zappos if they get a size 10. Oh yes, and the foot part fit perfectly also. Sometimes 10s are a tad too tight and I have started trying 10.5s in some shoes, but these fit great.

So this is the third pair of boots I have tried and I may have to return them as well. I have to say, they are comfortable. I bought a 7.5 and I usually wear an 8. They are soft and cute on, but they slouch at the ankles. I wanted a simple boot that I could wear underneath my jeans as well as with leggings or skirts. I can not wear these under my jeans because they sag so much at the ankles. I can't help but assume they will soften with time and will slouch even more.

These boots are cute and comfy; a little on the pricey side, but I spent a lot of time finding the perfect boots and these are pretty close. If you have larger calves, they will stay up better. Skinny calf folks will only be able to wear the slouchy look with these.

I purchased my boots at a small boutique in Memphis. Therefore, I was able to see them on the spot. The leather is very soft and I do have a problem keeping them up because I do not like the slouchy look. To accomplish this, I've resorted to wearing leggings on the inside of the boot, and it works. The leggings are not necessary when wearing jeans as the boots stay up with the support of the jeans. Most people are saying the boots run 1/2 size larger; well normally I wear a size 10 and in these boots the 8 fit perfectly. Great quality and classy look. Many compliments.

Nice boot for the price! The leather is very soft, though it's quite thin. I don't see these boots lasting for more than a season. Not much by way of arch support, either; I bought these to wear on a trip where I'll be doing a lot of walking, and I'll have to use insoles in order to be comfortable. The boot is slouchy, and not stiff like the picture leads you to think. I have fairly athletic calves, and I can wear these boots with skinny jeans and even cords without feeling pinched. Although the quality leaves a bit to be desired, it's still a good way to get into the whole slouchy boot trend without spending a ton of cash.

Comfy and slouchy. I really like the look of these boots, but the leather was a lot softer and thinner than I thought it would be. You can cuff them to wear knee high, or slouch them; however, trying to wear them above the knee is hard because they aren't stiff. However, they are very comfy. A great boot to just throw on over jeans or with leggings. And normally when I see people mark "felt larger" I still go with my size. Don't on these; they definitely run a 1/2 size big.

I didn't think they were oversized as much as has been stated. But maybe I'm colorblind, but I thought the color was more olive than taupe. That and the fact that the sole is a little cheap looking is the reason I'm returning them. Going to spring for the more expensive ones.

Not for gals with slender ankles and calves unless you always want to tuck in your skinny jeans or like a slouchy fit. These really bagged in the ankles on me. Plus I wanted a gray boot and should have ordered them in gray, not taupe. The boot looked more like a riding boot than I expected (maybe I need new glasses!); I wanted something a little more refined. But I did think the boot looked moderately well-constructed and not terribly cheap at this price.
