Great waterproof boots with lots of ankle and arch support. Provides a lot of good overall foot support especially for my feet which are uncomfortable in wide shoes. The cushioning in the soles is very comfortable. You can definitely wear these all day. Took a while to break them in, but they now feel great if I leave the zipper down a bit. Leather bends right behind the stitching detail on the foot. This is a bit uncomfortable at first until it softens up.

I LOVE my Ariats! When it the time came to buy a new pair, I was pleased to find them on sale at Zappos. The boots arrived 2 days earlier than expected. I met the UPS guy in the driveway, opened the box, and put the boots on for a test ride. Perfect! (Though I was embarrassed to discover I had left the tags on!) These boots are supple and offer great support. Paddock boots are new to me and fit a tad larger than my older pair (roper style.) Thicker socks help. I am considering a 2nd pair a half size smaller for summer riding. And I may do this soon, thanks to Zappos convenient return policy.

I've only ever had Grand Prix paddock boots before getting these and they are 10x more comfortable to walk and ride in. I'm kind of skeptical about how long the zippers will hold up, but I've only had them for about a month now. I ride in them 4x a week. I have med-wide feet and this shoe fits me well without even having to stretch the width of the shoe. However, because this shoe has a zipper instead of laces, it was very painful to break in. Seemed to take about 1-2 weeks to completely break in.

These boots fit perfectly and almost felt like slippers from the beginning. The classic styling means I can wear them with jeans or nice slacks. I love the zipper closure ... jump in, zip up and go.

The right boot fits looser, which is odd because my right foot is larger. It's like having a sock wrinkle under your foot!

These are really fabulous boots. I have an older pair that is going strong but definitely showing the signs of a cowgirl wearing proper boots to ride western. I'm returning the 9.5 - I wear a 9 but wanted to see if the 9.5 would be better for thicker socks but I will stick with the 9. You can't beat Ariat or Zappos, for sure!

Quite simply, Ariat shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. This model is made for equestrians. I'm not one, but I do love comfort. I wanted a nice short boot I could wear all of the time. I often wear a 7.5, but Ariat shoes are so well made and have such great arch support, that w/them I take a 1/2 size smaller. I love these boots! front zipper makes them easy to get on/off. though, I never really want to take them off because they are so comfortable. They were a little tight when new, but relaxed once I wore them for a while. great great boots. if you haven't tried Ariat shoes/boots yet, you should because they are masterfully made and not horribly expensive. not cheap, but they will last for years.

Super comfortable, no break-in. Just returned to riding after a 32 year hiatus. These were comfortable right out of the box. True to size (8) - comfy with a light boot sock. Have worn them to three lessons now in very muddy conditions - just wipe them off with a damp cloth. Thrilled to concentrate on re-learning my riding skills - not having to worry about my feet!

Well made boot, but the uppers were just too stiff for me. Arch support was also a little "off" -- a bit too far back, towards the heel. But, overall, a high quality boot.

Love these boots, high quality leather, great arch support. I bought them for motorcycle boots, and the fit is perfect for thin socks. If you are buying them for riding, I'd buy 1/2 size larger to accommodate thicker socks and allow room to get your heels down.

Ariat makes great shoes and boots. I love these boots. They are a great fit and are so comfortable that I could wear them to bed. Feet feel great while I'm walking and after I take them off. Highly recommend.

These are good quality heavy duty riding boots with good support. I like the front zipper for easy on and off. I tried several other boots first, but these seem to be working well. I usually wear them with half-chaps. The only tip is that the leather is stiff and I had blisters after the first time I rode in them. But they are feeling much more comfortable now and I am happy with them.
