Very disappointed in Mephisto shoes lately. This shoe is lovely, the leather is soft and supple, beautiful color red and cute design. But, the elastic is such an inferior Quality that it does not hold my hold in the shoe. It is the correct size but the back elastic and back strap just do not work. The shoe is too expensive for me to take it to a shoemaker for adjustments. The sole is a nice comfortable sole as well. I have been extremely dissatisfied with Mephisto in recent years. I wore them 20 years ago and they were great shoes then.
Brands I'd also recommend: Naot, Merrell, Romika

These shoes are extremely comfortable and look great with either pants or skirts. I work in a hospital and bought them because I wanted to make sure that I didn\'t slip on hard surfaced floors and that my legs and feet would be supported all day. I\'ve also worn them to work in a store where I was on my feet for 5 hours and I was comfortable at the end of the night. I think they are cut on the larger size however, I normally wear a 7 and I ordered the 6\/12. Must also say that the Zappos staff was wonderful and delivery was quick and free. I also had to return a wrong size and was amazed at how quickly my account was credited.

I love these shoes. They are cuter than they look and so very comfortable. I have a bunion so I sometimes order a half size too big. I tried that with these, but they were too big and I had to send them back and get my normal size. Now, they’re perfect. I like the closed toe, open heel, very soft leather, and amazing comfort.

The best! A shoe that is cute/normal for those who cannot wear anything but ugly. Wore them while traveling 24 hours on five different flights. Bought them in red and black.

I was so excited to open the box and see these shoes. They are comfortable and gorgeous, however, I totally agree with a previous reviewer who stated that there was not sufficient elastic on the back strap. This has resulted in feet slipping out of the shoe constantly. I wore the shoes briefly and decided to return them because of this. Beautiful shoes but just an awful fit in the back!
