Neil M makes excellent shoes. I bought another style after trying significantly more expensive brands and wearing them out in a matter of weeks - Johnston & Murphy, and Allen Edmonds. I have been wearing the Neil M's for six months now, and they look brand new. Not to mention that I have a bit of a wider foot and the wides fit perfectly and are able to be worn all day out of the box. Will never own another pair of dress/casual shoes. Zappos is great, especially if we you can find sale items.

While browsing for wide shoes came across this brand and thought I would give them a try. The moment I put them on I knew they would become favorites. No breaking in whatsoever. Soft leather, comfortable in every respect. As soon as I got back to my computer I bought another pair of Neil M's in a different style. They're just as comfortable.

Love these shoes! Until I purchased these, I\'d never heard of Neil M. shoes. I\'m used to AE, and I\'d say these are of similar quality. Well constructed. Comfortable.

My husband has long skinny feet. Since we live in an area of the country that is retail-deprived, it is hard (next to impossible) to find narrow shoes for him locally. It was easy for me to look on your website for the color he wanted, the style that I thought was stylish, and would fit his skinny feet! I found two styles, one of them being this one, and decided that I would order them both since there is no charge for returns. Guess what? He LOVED them both, and now has two stylish looks that can be worn to work or more formally. They are very comfortable, even though my husband is on his feet a lot- works at a hospital! The heavier, textured soles work very well this season in our climate-a bit of tread always helps in the snow. He keeps his shoes for a long time. Finally I'm glad he has a pair that will last that I think is in style!

I don't normally give product reviews but I like these shoes so much that I decided to do this one. I have a narrow instep, where the part of the foot between the ball and ankle, which makes it difficult for me to find shoes that fit, even shoes with narrow widths. But these shoes fit great. I have been wearing them almost every day. I also like the Norbuck finish and color. It's a casual look but can be worn for many occasions. My only complaint is the shoe's high price. Unfortunately, the small selection of narrow shoes gives me few other less expensive options.

Comfortable shoe with a nice look. More narrow than I anticipated, possibly due to the toe being slightly pointed, rather than round. Insert is a hassle. Every time you take the shoe off, the sole insert follows your foot out.

I wear a 14C so fit can be an issue. These shoes fit the best of all the ones I tried. I did find some Clarkes that fit about as well but I went with the Washingtons because they were a little dressier. I wear orthotics so the height of the back of the heel is important to me. No issue there with these shoes. They were comfortable right out of the box.
Brands I'd also recommend: Clarkes seem to always be confortable.
