The laptop pocket for this bag is really small. A 15 inch or 17 inch will not fit in it. However, both sizes can fit in the larger pocket of the bag, so I keep files and my planner in the padded pocket. I feel like the bag has enough protection that my laptop will be okay in the larger section. If you feel like your laptop has to be in a padded pocket, and you have a larger laptop, I would not recommend this bag. Other than that, this bag is adorable, and has lots of space to hold everything you need to carry with you for either school or work.

I ordered this bag over a month ago, but never cut the tags off while I looked at, ordered, and then returned more expensive bags. Finally decided to keep this last week, and I’m glad I did. It’s a great size, lightweight, and has all the storage/organization I need. I’m not sure the padded laptop sleeve is really sturdy enough to protect a laptop, but it’s perfect for keeping papers together and unwrinkled. It looks sufficiently businesslike, but it has the durability and functionality of a backpack. I’m really pleased with this and would definitely consider other Dakine products.

Great Bag, However the laptop compartment doesn't really hold a 13" computer, it is a tight squeeze. But I loved the bag enough that I bought a sleeve for my computer and use the laptop part to put my files. The bag definitely gives you more space than the average bags that I looked at.

Love this bag. Large enough to hold my computer and my grading folders, but easy to carry by the short straps or the long shoulder strap. And all this in a really cute package!

This is a great bag! It's pretty large. I got this purse so that I could take lunch to work and not have to carry a second bag. This does the trick! It's got a nice wide bottom and I love that the interior isn't black. It's very easy to find my keys or wallet in here. One caveat to my glowing review would be that the bag can be uncomfortable when stuffed to the brim with heavy objects. Unless you shorten the cross-body strap considerably to wear like a real messenger bag (close to the back) it's pretty much unbearable.

I am so absolutely in love with this bag! It\'s very well made and even full of heavy text books is still comfortable to carry. I love the design and that it is colorful on the inside as well.

I really like this bag; it is very functional for uses other than a lap top bag, and is very sturdy -- it doesn't look or feel cheap. I really like the design and colors of it as well, will make good use of it with my laptop, and may even use it as a daily bag -- it is a little too large to be used a a purse, but I can use it to carry my lunch, school work, etc. Definitely recommend this one!

I have a 13 inch, thin Dell laptop and it will not fit into the padded laptop pocket. I do like the bag enough to keep it anyway and just bought a laptop sleeve and it does fit into the main internal compartment with the sleeve on with no problem.

This is a great bag. My 14" long laptop won't fit in the laptop compartment, so I use it with a medium size Timbuk2 laptop sleeve, but apart from that this is a great laptop bag. If you have a smaller laptop or don't mind using a sleeve and putting the laptop in the main compartment, this may be a perfect bag for you. The design is a nice balance of professional and casual that is a perfect fit for my business casual wardrobe. I can use it as a weekender and as a laptop bag for work.

The bag is incredibly well made and durable. I use it as an everyday bag because of the organization it offers, but is probably best characterized as a carry-on bag. If you are looking for a replacement tote bag, you might be a bit disappointed. It is boxy and a bit bulky but functional. The colors appear as shown a.d the removable shoulder strap is nice. Love the bag but maybe should have ordered a different style.

This is a really cute bag. It is stylish and looks well made. My only issue is that the padded laptop sleeve is sewn in and not removable. It will not hold my laptop that is 13 1/4 inch.

Bought this to act as a briefcase, without looking like one. It's perfect! I can carry everything in it and it looks like a purse. I got it in black, which has a great subtle pattern.

When I saw the measurements for this bag, I thought for sure that my laptop would fit (I had just returned the Dakine Ella bag because my laptop was 1/4 inch too big for the sleeve). Be warned--the sleeve on this bag is even smaller than that on the Ella! Returning this, guess I'll try my luck on the Marlene!

Cute but kind of enormous and didn't fit my 17-inch laptop, which is what I thought I searched by but maybe I missed something in the description.

I really like this bag. It has a lot of storage space and it fits my Mac laptop. It seems durable and I get a lot of compliments on it at work. I definitely recommend it for a laptop/work bag.

This is a perfect bag for a traveling business woman. It has great main compartment space, love the lime green print so you can see the contents. Exterior pockets are very usefulbtoo, I do wish there were end pockets for cell and keys but have adapted to the large side pocket. If this came in leather, you'd sell millions!
Brands I'd also recommend: Samsonite

Although this bag has some great features, such as numerous pockets and a snazzy interior lining, I felt the quality was not at all what I was expecting, even for the price. I am sending it back (and keeping the wheeled Sherpani bag that I ordered at the same time as this one).

I originally bought this bag for use while sightseeing, i.e. carrying my large camera and a few items. I tried it out recently and it turned out to be much too big and bulky for that. Instead, I found that it's a perfect airplane carry-on. It's very roomy inside (even with a laptop in the pocket), has lots of pockets, and attaches well to a roller suitcase.

For me, this is the Holy Grail of carry-on bags! I use it in addition to a rolling carry-on bag, but this one fits right under the seat. It's not so huge that you might use as a duffel bag, and it's not so small you might as well use a purse. Has several compartments to keep you organized. It makes my life so much easier when flying! I love the front pocket; I can put my boarding pass in there and get to it easily when I need it. I can also slip right over the handle of my rolling carry-on for streamlined/hassle-free travel. Love this bag! The pattern I got is so cute, but not over the top and I love that the lining is patterned, too! I did not expect it to be as durable/heavy duty as it is either, but the fabric is so thick, I know this bag will last forever! This is a must have for anyone who travels.

I absolutely love this bag! I purchased the Lacey pattern and it is very true to color as shown in the pictures. The material does not feel cheap at all, it feels very sturdy and the bag is super roomy. I use it as a college book bag and I carry heavy textbooks in it and it still feels like it will last a very long time. I only have two small complaints. One is that I wish that the handle straps were padded, as I would much rather carry it with the handle straps on my shoulder, than use the detachable shoulder strap, that is just my personal preference, they dig into your shoulder when you have a heavy load. But I will be using the optional very comfortable, padded shoulder strap that it comes with, and with that, my heavy textbooks are actually pretty comfortable to tote around. Two, the rings that you attach the shoulder strap to are not in the middle of each side of the bag. They are still on the sides of the bag but one is near the front and the other is near the back, so the strap goes across diagonally and it just kind of hangs funny, in my opinion. I can overlook these things though because its really hard to find a nice, good quality, age appropriate, but still feminine book bag, that I actually like and want to lug around. So thank you Zappos, it is beautiful and you cannot beat the free shipping!
