So pretty, but fit strangely. These are beautiful shoes, but did not fit well. Based on other reviews of Frye clogs I ordered down a half size, which made the shoes too small, but even so the back strap slipped all over the place (there is no mechanism for tightening it). Sigh!

Perfect! I sometimes take an 8 in Frye, more often an 8 1/2. I tried the 8 1/2 first and it was too long. The 8 is ideal. Very soft leather, high in quality and style. The back strap can be worn up or down, the latter of which I prefer. I don't have any problems with the strap slipping.

I loved the Fawn color in these clogs so much and after wearing them once, found they were great, that I ordered the Cognac, too. They really are a great clog and I don\'t have a problem with the strap in the back or the clog slipping at all. I did order 1\/2 size smaller than my normal size, though.

About Frye
Frye's current Harness Boots are rooted in tradition and continue to draw influence from the Cavalry. Today the classic Harness Boot holds a place in American culture. The Frye Harness Boot has been pictured in fashion spreads internationally. In 1938, on a trip to Washington, D.C., John A. Frye's grandson and namesake met a U.S. Navy Admiral who confided that he had trouble finding the Wellington boots he liked so much. As a favor, John agreed to make him a pair. Frye continued to fill requests for these boots through the Second World War. During World War II, Frye supplied thousands of servicemen with Frye Wellington boots, known as Jet Boots, by mail order.
In the 1960's, Frye reintroduced the Campus Boot, from its 1860 original, featuring a bulky toe and chunky heel that came to epitomize the attitude and the style of the 60's and 70's. There was nothing like these "new" Frye Boots on the market, and consumers began to demand "Original Fryes." When searching for items to represent the America of the 60's, the Smithsonian Institute chose a pair of Frye Boots.
The quality of all Frye shoes is timeless. For almost 150 years, Frye leather products have continued to be benchcrafted from the finest full grain leather uppers. It takes over 190 steps to make one pair of Frye boots. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye boots and Frye shoes have been known for more than 100 years.

Ooh...life-changing! I got these in Tan, they are a bit darker than pictured, but still a fab neutral. When I had my daughter 15 years. ago, the bones in my feet spread & now I have an extremely wide foot (size 9W). For 15 years, I've worn mainly just sneakers & Uggs. I have a half-dozen other 2" heels in my closet that I sometimes suffer through a few hours of wear at a time - that's all I can stand, my feet hurt so bad from too-narrow shoes. They were cheaply made in comparison with Frye's (although they were expensive - most cost more than these clogs). I threw them all away now that I have these beauties! Over the past 15 years, I've tried on (literally) thousands of pairs of shoes. None fit. Until now - this & another pair of Frye mules ("Belted Harness Mule" in color "Black Greasy Leather", with a 2" heel). I was just gearing up to plan a trip to an out-of-state boot-maker to have something custom-made, which would have cost $500-$1K for a single pair. As a last ditch effort, I ordered these 2 Frye mules, Hallelujah! They fit, have a sturdy, comfy heel, leather sole & breathe (so no stinky feet), look great, feel great, at a great price even when not on sale! I am now going to try to scour the marketplace for years to come to find a few more pair. I just can't believe they fit, and feel great, and look great, and have a heel, and are obviously a craftsman-quality product which will last indefinitely! No, they are not runway 5" heel Manolo Blahnik's or Christian Louboutin or whatever, but I'd never wear a heel that high at all, even occasionally. I am so thrilled with these 2 pair of Frye's! By the way, I'm a 9W & ordered a size 9 in each - these Tan pair are just a bit long, so for anyone with a normal or narrow width foot, you could easily order down at least 1/2 size. My regular size 9 fits perfectly because I need the width. No they are not extremely lightweight. This is what a quality shoe feels like - the leather is so thick, the finish is glossy, the heel is sturdy, the sole is super-thick, hard leather, and that all adds up to a solid shoe. When worn, my feet feel snuggly & comfy - not swollen & sweaty! I receive a ton of compliments, everyone asking me where I got them. I did not blink about the price, for my impossible-to-fit foot, it's a steal! And, for anyone sick of mass-produced "shoes" with no regard to how the shoe actually wears on the foot, buy these! You'll immediately see how the other half lives, and will be amazed at what you've been missing! These are not "disposable" $19.99 shoes. Rather, they are real, old-style, quality footwear, made to breathe, look great, conform with your foot, and made to last.

These shoes are absolutely beautiful, not only in looks, but in craftsmanship. Unfortunately they don't work for me. My feet are significantly different lengths, and since these don't have adjustable straps on the harness, the shoe just doesn't stay on my smaller foot. These would be a great way to have a "boot" look without all the wrestling into a regular boot. I wear a 9½ in regular shoes, a 10 in running shoes and have really wide feet with a really high instep - I slipped right into the 9½'s, but they were too big on my smaller foot.

Beautiful, looks great with boot-cut pants, very flattering. Did need to go down a 1/2 size from a 9 to 8.5, but otherwise very comfortable. I'm so crazy about these clogs that I bought them in all colors.

Love the classic/euro style of this clog. Quality construction as one should expect from Frye. Wear 8.5-9 normally; ordered this in 8 and 8.5 based on other reviews. 8.5 fits well. Virtually no break in - comfortable from the start. Have slightly narrow foot, with large bunion, and very narrow heels. Tried the Carson boot but no matter the size, far too much heel slippage. Switched to the clog and no problem! Looks like the boot with jeans and trousers and is just lovely! And as always, superb service with Zappos.

I just received my Frye mule and I love them! I was considering a full boot and saw this slip on mule and decided I would get more wear from this type of shoe than a full boot, but still get the look I wanted with jeans. Can I just say these are perfect? Thank you to the other reviews, I normally take a 7.5 and ordered a 7. Perfect fit. The fawn is unique and will go with anything...black or brown. So comfortable right out of the box. Shipping was fast. Ordered on Monday and I have them Friday just in time to go out tonight!

99% of the time I wear size 8.5. This size was too big so I ordered an 8 which seemed too big also so I ordered a 7.5. Because of the design I needed the 8. The 7.5 rubbed my heel. I would recommend ordering a half size smaller than what you usually wear.

I am so sad. I really wanted these shoes to fit but after trying three different sizes I finally realized the problem. I have a high instep and these shoes keep my foot from slipping into them properly because of my high instep and they do not fit properly because of this.

Beautifully made. Loved this clog. However, I ordered my usual 9.5, and it was too big. Had to return them. No problem with Zappos!

Comfortable and great looking! I added arch supports to mine. I wear a 9.5; ordered both a 9 and a 9.5, and the 9.5 fits perfectly. Highly recommend!

Very nice clogs. Frye quality and comfort. They're great looking with jeans. Looks like you're wearing a boot. Ran a little big. I got them in Fawn, which is kind of a light brown. I like the color, and I love Zappos!

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable and stylish. The color is a deep, rich saddle brown. I am tall, so the heel is a good height, not high. The soles are the good old fashion kind that Frye make. They will last forever, unlike many companies now that are using either rubber or man-made materials that the color will scratch off and you cannot repair. Frye makes a superior product and Zappos makes the process so easy.

These are great looking and comfortable. They definitely run at least a half a size big. I went down a half size and could maybe even go down another half size. you might want to get a couple of sizes to try them. The top edge of the shoe comes up kind of high so there was a small gap between the edge and the top of the foot, so it may not work for everyone. Other than that they were great shoes and have a nice padded edge.
