I listened to the other reviews and ordered a full size larger sandal than what I normally wear in Old Skools. To my surprise the sandals were still a full size to small so I had to send them back and get the next size larger. Like one review said initially they felt like I had an extra size of shoes in front of my toes but as they wore in they fit perfect now. Best sandals I have ever owned. Just for reference I wear a size 8 Old Skool and had to get a size 10 sandal before they would fit.

I've always had trouble with flip-flops. Crocs Athens are about the only flip-flop that I'd been able to wear without getting blisters, and let's be honest, Crocs aren't winning any beauty competitions. I once had a pair of Reefs that gave me blisters like something out of an Eli Roth movie. It wasn't pretty.That said, I took a chance and bought a pair of Vans La Costa. My brother-in-law has a dope pair of red/yellow checkered ones, and I simply couldn't resist. I've been wearing them consistently for a few weeks now, and they're pretty close to perfect. I wouldn't say that the foot bed is as cushy as the Crocs Athens, but then again, what is? Bottom line, they're comfy, stylish, unique, and reference the classic Vans checkerboard slip-on shoes. What more could you ask for?

These Vans totally rock!!! Make sure you order them a size bigger than normal. I took everyone else's advice on the size and it worked out great for me. These sandals are very comfortable. I'm ordering a second pair for back-ups.

Absolutely love these! Super comfy right off the bat and good looking to boot. Only issue is that they do run small, so I would order a size bigger than usual. Gracias Vans!

Awesome Looking and Very Durable but the toe strap is set back about one shoe size. I had to send back the first pair and get the next size larger. But there is one full shoe size in front of my toes?

Checkered Vans... classic! The foot bed on this flip flop is very comfortable, but just after a few days of wear the rubber trim on the outer side has separated where the sole flexes; there is no give to the arch material, so if you have a high arch, your foot may not slide in as far as you might want it to.
