I love these shoes. I bought them primarily for playing squash and was unsure as to their suitability, especially after receiving them and seeing that the soles appeared to lack grip. However, they were absolutely fine on court. These make excellent athletic shoes. I'd recommend them for squash/tennis-like activities, as well as jogging. I also found that they look better in real life then the pictures. They rock. My advice: get these. I can't imagine that you'd regret it.

This is my second pair of Earth Glide. The first pair was in Ladies and I needed a size larger to get the width. This time I decided to go with the mens 8 1/2. It was the perfect width. This looked better for me. Looks just like the Ladies in style except for the color green is toned down. (You do not even notice the color.) So ladies, if you normally wear a 10 wide you can order an 8 1/2 in mens and the fit will be great. This is a very lightweight sneaker and feels like you are walking in comfortable bedroom slippers. I love them! I highly recommend them.

Terrific shoe for flat arches, bunions, and wide feet. A 7D fit comfortably onto my 8.5EE (women's size) foot. The sole is as soft and flexible as a toddler's shoes, but still well cushioned.

I ordered these shoes in a half size too big then called back to exchange them for the right size and Zappos sent the exchange the same day and gave me a return label free of charge. Awesome. Best shoes store on the internet for customer service and prompt delivery. Thanks.

I wear Earth shoes myself. But I bought these for my husband who is on his feet a lot. He loves them. He says his feet, legs and back feel so much better. However, he prefers to wear his orthotic inserts for additional support.

I was diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma about 2 years ago. Since surgery was not a guaranteed cure I wanted to find a shoe that would let me walk without the intense burning pain I felt in the ball of my foot. My job requires a lot of walking and the pain was almost unbearable. My Orthopedic Dr. prescribed a custom made shoe insert that cost $150.00. It did the job, but it was hard to get used to, but the side effects were that it made most of my toes numb after an 8 hour shift and it was hard to go to sleep because of the weird sensations going through my toes. The inserts would have to be replaced about every six months and it was not covered by insurance. I searched the web for a better alternative and I discovered the "Negative Heel" technology shoes made by Earth. These shoes are great. At first they made my calf a little sore, but that went away very quickly. This is my third pair as I have a black pair for work, and the other two I wear when I go out and about. Although I can still feel the neuroma it no longer burns and I can walk as much as I want. You can't beat the long term value versus the cost of surgery and or constant replacing of inserts. I would highly recommend this shoe; it looks and feels great.

These shoes are light and fit well for my foot shape. I found them to be roomy, but not loose. Regarding the Earth Glide 'ethos' of basically being the reverse of most shoes, built up in the front, lower in the back, they're a bit odd at first, but totally normal after less than a day. The only time it feels weird afterwards is when you put back on other 'normal' shoes. I purchased these less than a week prior to a 5 day trip at Disney World. We walked, and walked (and walked). Not one blister. Not one! They're great, light, flexible and pretty low key style-wise. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Earth athletic shoes a first for me, in the past I have stuck with more subdued styles. Many compliments on my new athletic shoes from friends, co-workers and family. Mostly can't believe they are Earth shoes. For me with my duck foot, wider at the toe and narrower at the heel, not to be confused with webbed as I live in the greater Seattle area. They are a good fit. My only complaint is that the back of the heel comes up higher than my other styles and tends to rub a bit, again the skinny heel thing. With a padded heel sock that comes up over the ankle, I am just fine.
Brands I'd also recommend: They make brands other than Earth?

I've tried several styles of Earth shoes, including this one, and love them all, because of the comfort they provide my back. However, like all Earth brand shoes they are painfully narrow. They really need to come up with 2E and 4E designs.

I've bought these several times for my husband, who finds them to be "the most comfortable shoe ever!" The problem with these and all Earth shoes is that they only come in one width. My husband has rather wide feet and long before the rest of the shoe has worn out, the upper part is splitting out from the pressure.

Light and comfortable. I wore earth shoes and roots in the 70's, so I am accustomed to the negative heel concept. I have heel spur problems (plantar fasciitis) and this solved my problem about 95% within a week! I ran a half marathon in these shoes without problem, although these shoes are a little too light and lack the support for competitive running. Overall a great shoe for my needs. They do not seem extremely durable, so I anticipate I will replace with the same shoe at some point. Another note, the soles have fairly deep creases that tend to pick up small stones.

Super-light and comfortable, but the fit was too wide for me and the right shoe developed a weird pucker after two days of indoor wear. That was probably because of the excessive width. They seemed wider that the D that they were supposed to be. Decided to return them.

I sent these back. I was looking for something softer under the foot and these are not. They have the same feel as the other Earth shoes I own which is great for walking, but my feet get sore if I'm on my feet a lot but not moving much.
