I own a total of 6 pair of these Birkenstock Madrids. I wear them around the house, and everywhere outside, weather permitting. I have flexible flat feet and a heel spur. These have given me back my feet, and I love them. The one strap look with the buckle give them a casual, yet stylish flair. I have them in 4 different colors, and they go with everything!

Takes a while to break in but they are good for your feet! After they are broken in, they are the most comfortable shoes. Not meant for long distance walking though.

These are great shoes. I bought my first pair in 2004 in Australia. I was so happy to see the same style available still. I ordered a 36, I wear a 6.5 normally in US sizes, and I did have to tighten the strap (on the old pair and this pair) for them not to feel too big, but the 1 strap change did the trick and they are perfect :) Love my birks!

These sandals are absolutely the BEST...cute comfortable, can be worn with almost anything, and what's not to like about red patent leather. I just love mine and wear them almost all the time. I do think that European shoes run a little wider as well as a little bigger than the shoes I usually buy so you might think about ordering a size smaller than usual as well as a narrow rather than a medium. With Zappos incredible service the shoes that you order generally arrive the next business day and exchanges are a breeze. Zappos is without a doubt my favorite web-site.

I normally wear a size 8M-W and even though they advise you to order bigger with European sizes, I found that the size 38N was roomy enough and not too long vs. the 39W. The patent leather look really dresses these sandals up.

I love these sandals! These are my very first pair of Birkenstocks. For the first week, I could only wear them 2-4 hours a day, because they needed to be broken in. After that first week, they can be worn all day :). They are very comfortable and stylish, too. The arch support is great and my feet do not get tired. Thank you!!

I love these shoes!!! They are different to walk in than other Birks as the part that goes over your foot is only one instead of two. I had to get used to holding my foot different while walking.

I have these in two colors. You need to keep in mind that they are shiny and not leather. Aside from that I love Birkenstocks. Finally they made some that do not look bulky. Comfortable and a must have for summer.

I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and these are by far my favorites so far. I found them to run true to size. They are super cute, comfortable, and versatile. These are great, no frills shoes. I do a lot of city walking in the summer and I never get tired of these. The only caveat is that they have high arch support. If you are like me and your feet are almost flat, these may be uncomfortable for you. But I am wearing them anyway and they have gotten more comfortable after a few wears.

I love these Birkenstocks! They are very comfortable and have great arch support. I had to order a size smaller than I usually wear. I wear a 7.5 American and I had to order a European 37.

I bought these to have some slightly dressier sandals than my Keen Waimea (my favorite sandals). At first, I thought the Birkenstocks were too long. After I read their little pamphlet and walked around the house in them compared to the smaller size I ordered, I realized that they fit perfectly. They explain that your foot needs room to move and flex as you walk; the sandals that look like they fit perfectly don't have enough room for you to move comfortably. Once I figured the size out, these sandals are a part of my daily life! They are very comfortable and definitely stylish enough to wear to work every day in the summer. I just wish the bright colors came in the regular width, rather than narrow only.

I have always been a huge fan of Birkenstock. I've been wearing the Gizeh model for over 10 years. As I was looking to get another pair, I came across the Madrid in patent red and thought how cute for the summer. So glad I ordered them! Took me awhile to get used to the one strap but I love them as much as the Gizeh. I'm not a narrow, but that was all that was available. Not a huge difference compared to the regular. My mom also has the Madrid in regular width and narrow width. She doesn't see that much of a difference either.

These sandals are very comfy. Definitely a good choice for anyone with foot issues. So many sandals offer no support to tired feet. These are very supportive. Much more stylish than the old school traditional Birkenstock also. I found them to run large. I wear a 9, but bought the size 39 which were supposed to fit 8-8 1/2.

I'm pregnant with severely swollen feet, and needed a pair of shoes to wear at work (flip flops weren't cutting it). I got the black patent leather since I felt like they would look a little dressier... and they're pretty nice! The strap completely accommodates my swollen feet, and the arch support is nice. They do flop a bit - so going down stairs can be a loud endeavor. Still - it's a small price to pay for comfort & style.
