Sturdy base. Fits well. Mesh quality is below average; within month there was already a hole in the top mesh portion.

Perfect shoe for my son's wide feet! These are the third ones, we'll keep getting these as he grows up. He can put them on by himself (being only 2.5 yrs old). Others have said that these shoes look good.

Great shoe. Unlike some of the other New Balance Velcro close shoes, these ones have plenty of wiggle room in case your child has "thick" or wide feet. The brown color is great, and all the NB shoes I've bought always wash nicely in the washing machine.

This shoe is great! My son really liked them...he can run super fast & they stay on due to the Velcro strap. They are a great color & match all the blues & browns.Very happy!

Due to son's slightly wider feet, we have always been loyal fans of New Balance. While we have tried several of the New Balance wide sneakers, we find this style/model to best suit our needs in that the shoe is well-constructed yet has enough give and movement. I was a little afraid of the blue being a little to effeminate, but I was pleasantly surprised at the cool color combo.

These shoes are the greatest! Easy on, easy off and perfect for a kid to put on themselves. We've ordered them in this size for our daughter and the toddler, smaller size for our son and we love them both. Will absolutely order again as they grow. Great New Balance quality and style.

Ordering these again. Bought these based on the great reviews and am glad I did! My son's wide feet have been a challenge to fit, and these are his favorite pair of shoes because of fit and style. He has had them for almost the entire school year (August through April) and they have lasted well through his heavy use (extremely active 6 year old). No holes or problems with materials, he just grew out of them. Zappos shipping is amazing too!

My son has had wide feet since he was an infant. He is now 3 years old and he can only wear wide shoes. He is on his second pair. Not ony are they the right fit for his foot, but they are also an excellent trainer while he is outside playing, running and riding. They give him maximum support, flexibility and stability.
Brands I'd also recommend: Other wide shoes that are not marked "W" are DCs.

These shoes are easy to get on and off. My kids don't even bother with the Velcro -- they just slip them on. We replace these every four months or so, even though our kids haven't grown out of them. They just wear holes in the fabric and pieces of the soles fall off. So, durability is the only thing I'd mark down.

My 5 year old son loves these in blue, wide. double velcro strap is easy to close. Suede is soft but after hard wear such as dragging his toes to slow down on Razor scooter the top is coming unstitched. New Balance wide shoes are best/most comfortable for his feet.

Generally have had pretty good experience with New Balance for our overly active 3 year old boy. However, the toe on these started to come apart within two weeks. A bit disappointed. Otherwise have had great experience with NB.
