I\'ve been using this brand for the last 6 years and loved them. Unfortunately, the boot has changed. It now has a thicker, warmer lining and as a result it doesn\'t fit my foot. I ordered a 9, then tried a 10. The boot rubs me on my ankle and flops around the calf now. I think the yellow color is great and am disappointed that I can\'t wear this boot anymore.

These boots rock. The weather where I'm from is cold, wet, and snowy for most of the year, so lined waterproof rainboots are necessary, and these are super comfy and adorable. I'm on the short side, so the half-calf height is perfect; I also love that the foot is a bit larger, instead of in the fitted rainboot style. Note: You might want to go a half-size larger if you want to wear them with thick socks, like I plan to.

Love these boots! These boots are super cute, have great soles and traction, and are very warm and waterproof. Basically the best winter boot ever. They're not super clunky and ridiculous looking, unlike Uggs. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking for a solid winter boot.

I just received my boots and love them. I got the Olive green and am very pleased with the color. I have a small foot size 5.5 and the 36 is a bit snug with a regular sock, but okay because I wear my shoes a little tight. I also think over time they might get loose. I can wear them with skinny jeans and when under regular jeans, they look like sneakers.

We have had so much rain in Tennessee this year, I thought I was going to have to buy myself a pair of Sarah Palin waders! But I have more style than that so after searching around quite a bit, I came across the Tretorn Skerry Vinter. My property is in a wooded area with creatures crawling around and brambles and poison ivy. So, now when I go tromping through the woods, I feel secure up to about midcalf because I am wearing my Tretorns. I tried a bunch of other similar boots, but they either were not made well, fit funny, or were just plain ugly. These fit true to size, are comfortable, clean up easily, and look good, so I wear them on the city streets as well. If there were more variety of colors from which to choose, I would own a second pair.

Additional Brand Information

Founded by Henry Dunker at the end of the 19th century in Sweden, Tretorn was an innovator in footwear from the moment it was launched. Having built up a reputation for dependability and discreet luxury with its iconic rubber boots, Tretorn was also the first company to launch the pressureless tennis ball.

The company's association with life on and off court rapidly created something of a cult following surrounding the brand, a status which was firmly secured when Wimbledon winners took to the grass in Tretorn in the 1970s. Inspired by the high profile and success of the brand, Tretorn's canvas and leather Nylites were the only shoe in which to be seen wearing on North American campuses throughout the 1980s. Lean and understated, the Tretorn sneaker was the first luxury sports shoe on the market.

Tretorn’s expertise in rubber-made products demonstrates a consistent commitment to quality and brand over hype, offering a collection most appreciated by those with a practical sensibility and a lifestyle largely enjoyed outside. Because Tretorn celebrates a lifestyle, largely lived outside, Tretorn ensures that labor is not exploited and the production methods are continuously revised for the good of the consumers and the environment. This commitment to sustainability and safe products is embodied in their PVC-Free policy for all of Tretorn men's shoes and Tretorn women's shoes. It is a business practice for which Tretorn is widely recognized as industry leaders.

After trying to wear sheepskin boots through a sloppy Montreal winter, I decided to try these Skerry Vinters and found them wonderful! With warm socks, they kept my feet warm and dry. I'm a 7.5, and 38 fit perfectly (though I notice that Bri from Houston is the same size and prefers 39). Quite true to size, but if you're between sizes, I suggest ordering up.

Should have read more reviews! Previously bought the \'Skerry\' in size 38, which was fine, so I sent for this version (Skerry Vinter Shiny) in the same size. Wrong! Need a size larger - perhaps because the lining is about 2x as thick?\r\nOtherwise the boot is fine - nice deep purple color, non-slip sole, not too heavy. Keep in mind this is more for rain/slush than for a cold winter boot. And get a size larger - I tried them with my usual wool and polyester socks, and with a thin nylon, and they were both too tight.

I just got these shoes, and so far I love them. I ordered a half size smaller than my usual size, and the fit is perfect. They do look a little wide but it\'s nothing too noticable.

These are really well made rain boots. They're stylish and the green color is just cute enough, not over-the-top colorful or flower-crazy like a lot of rain boots out there. I have slightly narrow feet and find them a little loose in size 6, but they will be perfect in the winter with some heavy socks. The best thing about them is the length; they hit mid-calf and look cute with everything. I'm a convert to Tretorn!

The boots are high quality, very shiny, comfortable in foot support and nicely lined. If you have a large calf, these mid calf boots may be a little snug. They are true to size and width and a heavy sock. The boots are very well made. Zappos got them to me in less than forty eight hours. Excellent service as usual.

The blue color is a lot brighter. And they look a lot bulkier, not as girly as I thought they would. I normally wear a size 7.5 (38), but I got a 39 and it’s perfect for socks or with out socks. Another thing, they’re not as shiny as they look in the picture.

Rain boots!! These are great rain boots. They are simple and convenient. They are comfortable but buy them a half size bigger than your usual. Also the blue color looks bright, but not clowny like other rain boots.

Off to Ireland - We live in Los Angeles and otherwise have no use for rainboots- but we're off to Ireland and the boyfriend desperately needed some stylish looking boots! These are perfect- they look very similar to his vans, are super duper comfy with a warm lining and go high enough to cover his pant legs but not too high (since we won't be wading in the bogs or anything ;) ) Zappos is great- the shoes came way quicker that originally expected- definitely a 100 out of 100 on the experience.

Great Boots - These boots have surved their purpose and beyond! I got them just to have some fun rainboots and ended up facing terrible flooding in the Midwest where I live. I wore these boots to sandbag and they were great. They kept my feet warm and dry and washed off very easily (and they were very dirty). They were comfortable after a time of breaking them in and a plus was that they are cute in a simple, functional kind of way. There are great for fun or for a serious need!

Too small and clunky - I was looking for a nice rain boot for the summer and these looked cute on the website. But it turned out they were clunky and unattractive. Also, they were way too small even though I ordered my usual size. Returned them.

I wanted some rainboots for being out in the yard w/ the dog and running errands in the wet spring weather. They are perfect and comfortable and too cute. Love them.

Tretorn Skerry Vinter Shiny Review - Only 2 drawbacks: I wish it was a bit higher up the calf and more insulation. But I would buy again as is anyway because it is comfortable, it grips the snow, it is cute and versatile in that you can wear it in fall, winter and spring. I am a size 8 and so size 39 fit well. Like a wide toe box, but do not have to buy an extra wide shoe (though Nike's are not as comfortable as New Balance as former has narrower toe box) and these have comfy toe box. These boots are a good boot and worth the price.

Good weather boots - The boots are good, they were ordered as a 42 which translated into 10.5/11 and I found that to be true. I have a wide foot so I was really pleased that they fit well. They have been worn in the snow and my feet stayed dry and warm.

The best rainboots ever! These are the warmest and most comfortable rainboots I have ever bought! I thought they were kind of pricey, but they are well-worth every penny! I would much rather spend a little extra and get rainboots that will last for a bunch more rainy seasons! I bought them when the rain first started, so I have them in red, which I love! They have a basic classic look that works with anything and keeps my toes cozy!
