I've been a fan of New Balance athletic footwear for more years than I care to admit and this shoe continues the very favorable experience I have enjoyed with all of their x-trainers. Fit (both length and width) is exceptional. Balance is excellent. Flexibility and stability are also excellent. Insole liner seems to fit more comfortably that prior shoes. All in all, I heartily recommend this shoe.

I wear orthotics and have big feet so I have trouble finding very many shoes to choose from - especially that work for me and allow me to remove the insole and use the orthotics. These do fairly well as far as comfort goes, which is a positive testimony since I have a tough time finding ANYTHING I can get comfortable in with my foot problems. Due to my pronation, the uppers tend get out of shape way before the soles become worn, but they would probably be long-wearing for people without the foot problems. At the price they are a good buy. Thanks

I came to Zappos to get another pair of the MX608, but the style is listed as discontinued and this was recommended. Overall I am satisfied with this shoe and I’m hoping that it will grow on me the more I wear it. It is comfortable... it just feels a bit wider than I am used to, but not enough to exchange it. The leather also feels a little thinner and softer so that translates into a slightly less “solid” of a feel to me. The length was true to size. Overall I am happy. I was happy enough that I purchased another one as an exchange for a white pair of MX608 that I had to return because the size had changed over the years and it was uncomfortable. Besides the shoes, I am absolutely ecstatic about the Zappos shopping experience and their customer support. The shoes were delivered within a couple of days after they were ordered and the return of my one pair was completely hassle free. They had my new pair that I exchanged for at my door before I had time to drop of the prepaid shipping return. I will definitely consider Zappos for any shopping. One of my favorite shopping web sites. Thank you!

I bought these shoes for my dad who happens to be absolutely one of the pickiest shoe people in the world. He doesn't drive, he walks everywhere and these are the only walking shoes he wears now. Thank goodness the New Balance MX622 are made in several different colors! The shoes are a great value for the price, he says they are very comfortable and he wears them until they wear out. Long time. He has tried other more expensive shoes and did not like them nearly as much. I am going to get him another color for Father's Day!

My husband is a size 14 narrow and New Balance are about the only brand of athletic shoe that he can wear comfortably. The MX622 runs true to size and width (I think it is the 620 that seemed to run smaller than marked...we ordered those first and had to return them.) He is quite happy with the MX622's. As always, Zappos shipping was extremely fast and returns are always easy. Thanks, Zappos!

Decent Shoes -
I normally buy New Balance mesh running shoes but thought I'd try a leather "trainer". They are fairly comfortable and fit well. I find NB to be wider than most brands. They are a little plain looking.

First pair of black athletic shoes -
I have never had black athletic shoes before but I decided to try these. I have always had good luck with NB and these are, by far, the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. I had the 620 and the 621's but the new 622's are even better.
I have wide feet and the fact that Zappos carries the proper width helps too.

I have never ordered shoes online before because I was afraid of the fit. I have bought New Balance before and I like their fit. I ordered the size I usually wear and these fit perfectly and have performed great. I'll definitely buy more from Zappos!

Great all purpose cross trainer, comfortable right out of the box. When they get old I use them for working in the yard.

Look out for flaws -
I love the shoe, but with the first pair I purchased the seams on the toes split within a couple of weeks. Zappos replaced them quickly and this pair seems good.

From the man with Size 16 EE feet - These shoes rock! I have big, wide feet with no arch so my selection of affordable, comfortable shoes is not great. I have the MX622 in Brown/Green. New Balance has solved my issue of finding shoes in my size and width. Zappos has assisted greatly. I am considering buying these in black to be worn in uniform. I like the shoes that much.

Teen pleaser -
My fourteen year old has been wearing the kid's version of this shoe for years. Finally graduated to the adult size. Good for him, a little harder on my wallet! Not complaining though. This is an excellent shoe. Durable and good looking it makes a great every day shoe. You know it's comfortable when your teenager raves about it and even gives you a "thanks mom" for buying it. I really appreciate being able to get the wide size for my son. Would not hesitate to buy any New Balance brand shoe.

Men’s shoes -
These shoes are good for my feet, though I wish I could wear women's anymore. But, due to wearing special orthotics for a Morton's neuroma and having a hammer toe on one foot, I must wear wide men's shoes to accommodate my weird toes. They remind me of my husband's umpire shoes! They are sturdy and comfortable and true to size. I love New Balance shoes, men's and women's. They are the only shoes I can wear right out of the box for 8 hrs working in the laboratory at the hospital! I always buy New Balance!
