The new design of the lacing is just horrible. I could never get them tied right and the strip that goes over your toe just bugged me constantly. I ended up throwing them away after a couple weeks and ordered the Cumulus which is very comfortable, but just not as much cushion. I now see that they changed the lacing back to the old way on the Nimbus 11 and I am going to give them another shot. We'll see.

I have been running in Asics Gel-Nimbus for years. I replaced my Gel-Nimbus 9 for the 10 when I needed new running shoes. It\'s an entirely different shoe with a different fit. The toe box is small and my toes end up falling asleep after running for a while. I am glad to read that others have had this same issue. \r\n\r\nI am very disappointed in this model. I\'ve only worn them a few times and really wish that I could return them for a different shoe. It\'s too bad to have to pay so much money for a shoe expecting it to be just as great as it has always been - and be left in pain after a run.

The toe-overlay kills these shoes for me. I run an average of 30 miles per week. These shoes are great on sole-comfort, but the toe-overlay design ruins this shoe for me: the circle cut-out of mesh would be better if it covered the whole toe-box (like the Gel Nimbus 11, which I run in now). Because of the weird overlay, I got some pretty messed up toenails. I have 2 pair of these, one in a 5.5 and one in a 6. I wear a 5 in normal shoes. The 6 fits much better. I'm 100 lbs. and 5'.

I use this shoe for marathon training and I love it! Asics are so comfortable and really provide excellent support. This is my new favorite shoe for my long runs! I've even used it on trails.

I wore the Gel Nimbus 9 for years and loved it. The redesigned 10 was disappointing because I have wide feet and this shoe runs a whole size smaller (9 was half size) mostly in the toe area. My toes were very crunched and I now have to take the loss and buy a new pair. These were unwearable, as well as horribly ugly.

The best shoes ever! I have been running on and off for years. When I did stop running it was because my feet were in pain and I then became upset and frustrated. So gave up running. But I was told about the Asics shoes from a friend and thought I would give them a try. They weren't cheap but they are worth every penny! I feel like I'm running on air and there is no pain whatsoever! No shin splints! No leg cramps! Nothing but happiness and freedom when I run! I will never buy any other shoe except Asics!

Love these shoes. Not only are they excellent for running, but for walking also. They are very comfortable and supportive for my high arch foot. I feel like the shoes hugs my feet; I love them!

Am a true Asics fan...first time wearing the Nimbus and am mid marathon training. No break-in time, no blister, etc. They are very cute to boot.

Great for running on pavement, good on treadmill -
I really like these shoes. I run on the outside of my feet (under-pronation) and these support my feet while running on pavement. They are ok for running at the gym on the treadmill, but not great for any off roading. I have also worn them for racquetball - and they do not have enough lateral support for this. I have tried them a few times for weight lifting. They are roomy and airy in the toe so I can get away with them in a pinch when I am doing arm weights, but they are not very good (and not designed) for leg weights. Not supportive enough for squats, but awesome for running (as intended!). I will absolutely buy these again. It looks like p-funk designed them - cool!

So far a great workout shoe! I wear an 11 4A, but I had to exchange this shoe for a 12. It is narrow enough and snug without choking the life out of my feet during a vigorous indoor walking/jogging workout. Plenty of cushioning in the ball of the foot. The ankle padding in the back isn’t quite as snug as the Gel Motion shoe, but it is adequate.

Super comfortable. Great padding for the heel strike and nice flex in the forefoot. Like the stability. The 11 Wide fit me just the way I wanted them to. No rubbing or slipping anywhere. Zappos customer service is absolutely the best. Ordered late on a Sunday and had them Tues morning.

My new favorite shoe -
I have been running in the Mizuno Wave Rider and Wave Creation for about 5 years, I started wearing the Asics Gel Nimbus about 1 year ago. They have excellent support and cushion and they seem to last more miles than the wave rider. This will be my fourth/fifth pair! This shoe even does well for trail running. (Best for trails that do not have lots of small rocks though)

I run a lot and I LOVE these shoes. These cause no shin splints and they alleviate my plantar fasciitis. They have great arch support and also correct under-pronation. The soles of the shoes conform to the bottom of your foot so you feel like you are standing in a cushion of support. I had the ASICS Gel Stratus and those were good, but these are SO MUCH better. These shoes are not too wide in the toe and the lacing system goes further down the top of your foot for an even better fit. Definitely a must buy and worth every penny.

I really like the Gel Nimbus series of shoes. Great for everyday running, but this wasn't quite as comfortable as my last pair, but I still love the shoe. Last one felt like you were running on a cloud. This could use a tad more padding, but it's great. Happy with the color and true to fit.

Love these shoes. I have high arches and deal with heel pain if I have the wrong shoe. These are the best. I debated trying them because they are a bit spendy, but my feet love them. I always wear an 8.5 in Asics, but not these… order a half size up.

Good cushioning -
I was looking for a shoe with good cushioning all through the forefoot, and this has it. It does run small. I normally wear a 6.5 or 7, and I ordered a 7.5 which feels short and I wish I had ordered an 8.
The stitching is messy at one place on the shoe, but overall I like it, and can do aerobics and walk in it with comfort.

I absolutely love these shoes! Have run in them for many pairs, and they continue to deliver comfort and stability. As for Zappos service, it is superb as usual. I ordered the shoes and they were delivered THE NEXT DAY!!!

This is a good cushion shoe if you have narrow feet. I just ran a marathon yesterday for the first time in these shoes and the only discomfort was sore toe nails. The toe box is narrow. Order 1/2 size larger. Otherwise I'm 180 pounds, flat feet do all kinds of distances and have been very happy so far. Took away my shin splint pain within a week or so.

For someone on their feet all day...
I bought these shoes to replace some Nike running shoes I had owned for a little over a year. When they arrived, I wore them on a short walk and to the park with my daughter straight out of the box with no problems. These shoes have been great in training for a recent 12K and saw me through training and the race. They are still comfortable to date after about 5 months. I am purchasing another pair for the gym and one other pair for work (I'm a nurse). I love the comfort, cushion and support that these shoes offer...they are worth every penny!
