Shoe Size: Felt a full size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthGot these for Christmas in the Storm color. I read the reviews and I ordered a half size up (8 1/2). I normally wear an 8. My toe touched the end of the shoe. I had to order a 9 in these. Great shoes but sizing is tricky. Thanks to Zappos it\'s not a problem.

I have heel spurs on both feet. I've tried all kind of shoes like Dansko, but nothing worked. MBT shoes did the job. I no longer have heel spurs. I have 2 pairs of MBT Chapas.

These shoes are not only horrendously ugly, but they are extremely uncomfortable! I bought these shoes hoping they would provide ample cushioning on my walks with my friends, but they are certainly disappointing. The next day my legs to my abdominal were sore and fatigued! I think it ruined my knees also.

I developed a heel problem last spring, from too much exercise. I tried a variety of "cures" over the summer, but still have pain. I was unable to play tennis or walk the beach. I discovered the MBT shoes and am now able to walk, without pain. I still cannot play tennis, however I can walk the beach and be on my feet all day without pain. These shoes have greatly improved my life. Thanks!

Love the Chapa. Foot, hip and back problems have kept me from walking for any length of time. These shoes have alleviated much of the pain in those areas now that I've begun walking again.
Additional Brand Information
MBT shoes are physiological footwear - the first footwear that has a positive effect on the entire body. MBT stands for "Masai Barefoot Technology." MBT sneakers and casual shoes are designed using a multi-layered, curved sole which makes for a unique and rewarding walking experience. Few shoes can keep your muscles engaged in a purposeful way, but this is what MBT has done.
The many benefits of MBT shoes are not only substantiated by numerous scientific studies; they are also being enjoyed on a daily basis by more and more health- and fitness-conscious people who improve their physical fitness by merely wearing this physiological footwear. MBT shoes can activate neglected muscles and tone and shape the entire body.
Doctors and physiotherapists recommend MBTs as an effective therapeutic tool, and top athletes like Benni Raich and Michael von Grünigen use their MBT sneakers as mini training and regeneration centers. Shoes designed by MBT can have a positive impact in improving posture and gait, reducing stress on the knees and hips, and even help with joint, ligament and tendon injuries.

I now have 2 pair of these shoes. I get lower back pain when I stand on my feet all day & these have made a BIG difference.\r\nI discovered them after returning from a trip to Africa. It\'s true that the Masai are on their feet & walk ALL day long. Guess this \'technology\' has something to it!!

These shoes are great! I really hesitated about purchasing them because of the price, but it has been worth the money. I have leg spasms (10 yrs) and thought these may help and they do! Problem is not gone but is much better. Gives you more energy, and I've lost inches! Everyone keeps saying I'm losing weight! Don't know if its the shoes but I'll take anything to help in that area! Very lightweight, but buy 1/2 size larger.

The MBT Chapa looks a little different than the other ones; nice red color patches, the rest is grey and beige. On the outside the sole looks as if it’s not as anchored as other models, which proves to be true by walking in them. They do not force you as strongly into the typical rolling movement as some of the other MBTs do. They are really light-weight, feel pretty soft on your feet and not as heavy as the other ones I have, much more flexible. No pressure on your feet at all, very comfortable to wear. Guess if you do have any foot problems that's really nice. And this soft impression also shows if you walk in them. They are more forgiving if you don't roll your feet in the correct way, which is described on the included DVD. I would highly recommend them for newbies of MBT, who are not used to walking in this kind of shoe or who want to switch from Fit Flops to MBT.

I hesitated for a couple of years of spending the money for MBTs, but had a leg and knee problem and was hoping it would help. Since I am 77 years old, I also worried that I would have a hard time walking in them. I have no problem walking, but do have a problem of standing, especially on a slant or uneven ground. I do think they have helped my knees and legs, but will hold my opinion until I have worn them a few more months. I have worn them a month now, with not too much problem.

I got the Chapa in the birch color and am very very happy. The color is a neutral that complements everything from khaki, to denim, to black. I have a size 8 US but needed a 39 in Chapa. They are so comfortable I wear them everyday to work

This is my second pair of MBTs, the first is the black leather boots (very cool). I like the look of these shoes (I have them in red) more than pretty much the rest of the MBT casual line. I wear them on the concrete floors of my workshop nearly every day. I can’t vouch for any claims to improved leg muscles or extra calories burned while standing still, but I spend probably 4-8 hours on my feet each day, and these shoes are a huge improvement over thinner-soled shoes. The cushioning is good, but I found the pressure on the ball of my foot was too much (I have neuromas), so had to use 3/4 inserts (not needed with Danskos). The shoes comfortably accommodate the inserts. Walking in the MBTs is not my forte - living in the city I have walked perhaps a mile or more at a time doing errands, and find them to be awkward and slow (I like to move fast), which probably adversely affects my posture. Driving in them can be tricky, too - gotta remember there’s 2" under the balls of my feet. Overall, I’m glad to have them, but would hesitate to shell out the big bucks for another pair.

MBT Chapa in Chili - These are really nice MBTs! Beautiful nubuck leather and mesh fabric. It pains me to have to return them because I love this color style so much, but I found that they run a half size too small. For reference, I own the MBT Sport Low and wear a 9.5 in that shoe. I did find a different color style of the Chapa in a size 10 at a local store and paid a lot more for them than here at Zappos, but they do fit and are very comfortable. Highly recommend this MBT shoe; just size up.

MBT Review - These are my third pair. Very comfortable. Can walk and run for hours. I bought these because they don't look like a sneaker.

I love MBTs and have owned other pair. However, this toebox is narrower than others and has given me corns on both feet, which have limited my ability to wear them. Disappointing, since they are a major investment! If you tend toward B+ width, I'd go up a 1/2 size or choose a model with a wider toebox.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to widthI was fooled! I was fooled by the hype for these shoes!! Every time I wear them to walk 30 minutes a day, I get huge blisters (even with blister bandages) on the back of my heels, and my feet go NUMB after walking in them for 15 minutes!! I have had others watch me walk to make sure I was walking in them correctly and I have been, but I continue to have problems!! I have high arches, and knee problems. These shoes were recommend to me by several different people in different fields of work claiming that they really helped them. Well, after wearing them now for 3 months, trying to "break" them in, etc., I have come to the conclusion that the claims on these shoes are nothing but "hype". I would not recommend these shoes even to my dog (who has hip problems)!

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthFabulous - I bought these shoes to wear to work. I am a runner and have developed "bad" knees... not only do I wear the shoes to work, but I wear them ALL the time! I NEVER experience knee pain while I am wearing the shoes. WELL worth the money.

Shoe Size: Felt a full size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt narrower than markedMBT Chapa - I love my sport low MBTs so much that I decided to get another style -- the Chapa style seemed a little bit tighter in the toe box, and had a higher counter (the part with the tab at the back of the ankle) than the sport low, so I needed to break them in. Only after 1 week, I was able to walk 3-5 miles... they are lovely and comfy just like my sport low style... I really like these as well...

I absolutely love this shoe! Walking and hiking can be painful for me because of my Plantar Fasciitis but with these MBT's, I feel no pain!!! Very cushy bottoms and no impact or pressure on my heels. I can't wait to get outside and walk now because of my MBT's. Oh, the shoe's heel is a bit stiff and takes some wearing in. Didn't cause blisters, just stiff.

Greatest Walking Shoe Ever! This is my second pair. I wore the treads on the first pair smooth. Makes a HUGE difference in you walking routine - the results are truly amazing - I am 58 and know what I'm talking about! Tones your legs and but, and makes the miles you walk burn those calories! I will never be without a pair! By 1/2 size larger than your dress shoes.

Shoe Size: Felt a half size smaller than marked Shoe Arch: Excellent arch support Shoe Width: Felt true to widthRock'n Roll mobility! Well, they probably aren't for everyone, but for me they are GREAT! I've had extensive surgery and I no longer have a heel strike or toe off... that is until I put on these shoes. They do what my feet and ankles can't; therefore I now have a normal gait. I rated the "look" a 5, because they are well manufactured and there's is no way to cover-up the sole, without loosing the function they provide. Without their look they wouldn't be MBT! By the way, I don't need my orthotics with this shoe... it is ideal for the pronated foot!
