A good looking work shoe - The Propet Maxigrip looked fine in the picture and turned out even better in person. A nice, modern styled, shiny black item, but made for hard walking and standing... so far it seems very sturdy and certainly comfortable. I can recommend it, but let's see how it makes it for a year or so... and best thing is the shoe cleans with the wipe of a cloth or a quick rub on the pant leg.

Wide enough! I ordered the Dunham shoe first, size 12 6E, it was too wide and not offered in a 5E. So I sent them back and ordered the Propet, size 12 5E. Each order came overnight. The Propet fit and worked out fine. You could not ask for any better service and shipping from Zappos. When I called, the service person was very nice and knowledgeable. Thank you Zappos.com!

One amazing pair! My husband works security, which requires him to be on his feet all day. Without good comfortable pair of shoes it's a pure torture. Well, I hit a jackpot when ordered these shoes for him! The most comfortable shoe ever! The only other pair that is equally comfortable is brand name he paid over $200 for pair! And to top it off, Customer service is the highest level I encountered in along time! Highly professional, they make you feel like you are one in a million! To sum it all up - you are in my Favorites for all future shoes purchases!!!

Very pleased with these shoes - For the past several years my work has required anti-slip shoes for all employees to wear. I have struggled with comfort and tried various kinds and types. Subsequently, I have developed problems like arthritis and joint pain. In search for an affordable yet supportive shoe with comfort at a premium, I found this pair. Great Shoes! I use these shoes as a security guard, a lot of walking and standing around. I love the look and durability. They look nice, but I can tell they are well built and will last a long time. The insole wasn't great at first but seems to have broken in over time. I will still replace it with a SuperFeet insole as I find them the most comfortable. Then these shoes will be next to perfect.

Good looking shoe - Great shoe, light and no break in required. But a very strong odor of glue or plastic that won't go away. Is their any answer for this?

Good work shoe - These shoes seem to be well made. It took about a week to get them broken in, after break in they were comfortable. I have worn these shoes for about three weeks...

Exactly what I was looking for - I work in the office of a factory - needed dress shoes that also give comfort when walking out in the factory. These shoes give me the best of both worlds - wouldn't have found them in a store or nearly as quick without Zappos.

Horrid smell! Wow--the smell of chemicals nearly knocked me over when I opened the box! I let them sit for a week with the box open to see if the stench would diminish. It did not. Obviously poor quality leather that had to be treated with a LOT of chemicals...and they are STILL stiff. I was not surprised to see that these shoes are made in China. Look is not bad. Fit is standard.

Good fit - I looked everywhere in brick and mortar stores for good work shoes. Couldn't find anything that met all my criteria. These do: Non-slip soles, black leather, fit well, comfortable, and look great. At first I thought they weren't going to fit because they are a bit difficult to get my feet into (a larger tongue would have been nice), but once I got them on I realized that they fit like a glove. When I went to work I no longer had the problem of sliding around on the floor. Great product and Zappos provided great service. Thanks.

Good Little Shoe - This shoe does what it says. I stand on ceramic tiles over concrete all for 15 hours a day. I weigh 400 lbs. finding a comfortable shoe is impossible. So far, this is the best. It also meets my required OSHA requirements with the slip resistant sole. I and my feet recommend this shoe.

Great Shoe - This shoe is perfect for work. Very comfortable, and they aren't kidding about the no-slip soles. Since the price was much lower than other shoes of the same quality, I was skeptical, but this shoe is definitely the way to go.

This shoe delivers comfort - Bought these for my husband. We found Propet a few years ago and if you have wide feet, this is the brand for you! Good shoes that wear well and fit well on extra wide feet. Short break-in period (but he thinks it's because he wore bad socks, not because of the shoe). Overall he rates it 5 stars in fit and comfort. He is on his feet for 10 hours and walks about 14 miles a day for his job (we put a pedometer on him one night), so he needs a shoe that delivers. If he says this shoe delivers, it does!

Propet Maxigrip is narrow for size. My shoe was sized at 7M. It is narrow and tight across the ball of the foot. Rockports seem to be more comfortable. Very comfortable walking sole and very good quality leather material. Sole tends to pick up a lot of small rocks between the grip of the sole.
