New lenses are great - Good as ever Oakley’s now better with this new sports lens. Rain, sweat, oils don't impair vision with these new glasses nearly as quickly as old fashioned technology. Great for active, outdoor use. Even in hot Florida.

Oakley has a winner here... I wore the Half Jackets for 3 years and swore by them. Then I saw the Flak Jackets online. I bought a pair and have to say, they get compliments all the time. I went for the XLJ lens and they provide even more coverage then the Half Jacket XLJ lens. No more light leaking in on the sides or bottom. A perfect fit. The new lenses have a coating on them that really do resist sweat and water. It just beads off the lens. Get these! By the way, the service that Zappos provides is unbelievable. Quickest shipping EVER. I needed a replacement pair sent to replace a defective pair. Replacement order placed on Sunday, Monday was a holiday, Received Tues mid afternoon! Great job Zappos!

Best I've owned - I bought the Flak Jackets about 2 weeks ago and all I can say is they are perfect for me. I hardly notice they are on and not once have they slipped. I bought them mainly for when I go out riding my mountain bike and I don't regret the purchase. I strongly recommend these to anyone looking for multi purpose sunglasses.

Excellent glasses - These glasses fit great. If you sweat, they actually gain grip power too. The lens does not permit water to remain on it...its coated with something that just sheds the water right off, so when I am in the pool, I can still see just fine. These lenses snap in/out so you can change them if needed (less tint or different color or even clear). These are NOT polarized although they do come in a polarized version. The lens size does a good job of blocking sun. I like them better than my Maui Jim Sport glasses.

Brands I'd also recommend: These come with a normal (non XJC lens) for a smaller look - or consider the Oakley BottleCaps

Oakley Flak Jacket XLJ Asian Fit - I was hesitant to buy these because at time of purchase the regular fit was $40 less. I am SO glad I went with these! They fit great for my face! I get compliments on them a lot and when I go on bike rides they don't get stuck in the helmet straps like other sunglasses have before. Buy these if you’re an Asian, you will not be disappointed! Whilst cooking I unfortunately swiped a lens across my oven's hood and a small "v" shaped scratch appeared! I hope to replace the lenses with polarized ones soon! "A+"

Fantastic Golf Sunglasses - I recently bought Oakley's Flak Jacket XLJ in black with the G30 Golf Specific Iridium Lens. They are great! I am a woman and the fit on these sunglasses is perfect - absolutely no slipping no matter how much I perspire. The optical quality is top-notch. The lens is a pinkish iridescent-looking lens and is wonderful for golf. I actually feel like I can see more clearly with these sunglasses than without them. I previously wore Oakley's M-Frame with the same color lens, but it was a one-piece sweep lens and it cracked in half just above the bridge. Over the past 10 years I had 3 of them that broke. The last one broke within the 1-year warranty and Oakley replaced the lens within a week. I'm much happier with the Flak Jacket XLJ because it has 2 separate lenses and therefore will not have the same problem as the M-Frame. I had my new sunglasses in 2 days from Zappos. Zappos is the best, no matter what you order. This is the first time I ordered anything other than sneakers. I am amazed at the variety of products they have to offer and will continue to order from them in the future. P.S. If you are looking for a good pair of sunglasses for golf, these are the ones.

Great for Running - The Oakley Flak Jacket is outstanding for running. Many other sunglasses are too heavy or unbalanced and thus bounce on your nose. The Flak Jacket stays put on the run. With the exception of the M-Frame, this is the only model that stays where you want it and is the best I've worn. I can't speak for other brands since I'm partial to Oakley. Looks good, too!

These are a great pair of Oakley's. I have been using the Half jacket for a few years and was going to just get some replacement lenses for those, but decided to try these instead. So glad I did. These are giving me the same great protection and qualities as the half jacket, but with a much lower profile fit. Comfort is even better with the flak jacket. I wish I could have got them in the Rootbeer/bronze iridium without going to the polarized, but the black iridium are good, too. Very satisfied with purchase. Zappos is the greatest shopping experience bar none! I know full well that they often do overnight at no extra cost, but when I ordered at 9:30 pm my time, I did not expect to wake up to a tracking # for that day in my email! I had them by noon the next day after ordering! They are very pleasant for questions and such, too, a real class act!

The lenses are outstanding and the glasses have the cool factor. The only complaint is the nose pieces are not comfortable on my face after an hour or more. It may just be me. I am an Oakley fan and have owned many pairs over the last 10 years or so.

Great glasses for your outdoor workouts. They won't budge while you're running, and they won't bother your ears like other pairs might. The only major problem I have with them is that while sweat does bead off of the lens, it tends to collect at the bottom edge and disturb your line of sight, which can be an issue if you're running on a trail or uneven ground. I might apply a new coat of the hydrophobic material with the included pen to try and prevent that, but it's not a deal breaker.
