New Timberland boat shoes - I like the shoes but they seem larger and wider than the last pair I purchased in a Timberland store. This is the biggest issue for me in purchasing online. Every pair probably fits a little differently.

Timberland review - Great shoe. The only negative is that there is NO arch support. Most of these shoes have more insole and support than this one. Though, it is a nice shoe, great look and feel, and quality.

I have these for school, very great and comfortable. I did, however, need to add some Dr. Scholl's foot pads after about 5 months for added support. That was not a problem, and they have lasted forever! They are resilient through all weather conditions, as well.

Timberland's Kia Wah - This is the second pair of Timberland shoes that I've bought. Both fit my smallish foot like a glove. I wish all shoe manufacturers would take a lesson from Timberland. This particular shoe feels like I'm wearing bedroom shoes. They're that comfortable, yet they're sturdy like boat shoes need to be. And they look great.

Great casual shoes - This purchase was my second pair of these in black. I also have them in tan. I wear them as "go to" casual shoes. Highly recommended!

Additional Brand Information

The Timberland story begins in 1952, when Nathan Swartz buys part of the Abington Shoe Company. He learns how to make shoes, and starts working on ways to make them better. Timberland history was in the making in 1965 when the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland® leather footwear is born.

The Timberland mission is to equip men, women, and kids to make a difference in their world. Timberland does this by creating outstanding shoes, clothes, watches, and other accessories and by trying to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.

Timberland is a big company made up of a lot of small parts and incredibly talented people. They make boots, shoes, clothes, watches, and various gear that are comfortable enough to wear all day and rugged enough for all year. The people at Timberland don't rest on their accomplishments. If they did, they’d have only made one waterproof leather boot.

New shoes - I’m hard on shoes...also hard to get shoes wide enough but these were comfortable right away.

Bummer, but not giving up on Zappos - I guess I should have read some of the other reviews. This shoe felt a full size larger than listed. Unfortunately, I wear a men's 6 to 6.5, so I'm out of luck and will have to send these back. Zappos has been great about the returns, which is why I keep trying to find a cool shoe in my size on their site. I'm starting to get a bit frustrated though. It's a tough way to try on shoes. But since I wear an odd size, it's one of my only options.

Return policy next to none - Feels and looks great. Most of my shoes are 10s. Ordered a 10 in another brand, but it was too big. Exchanged for a 9.5 Timberland Kia. Too big. Went to a 9 for the right fit. They are at least a half size larger. Zappos does it right.

This is a very nice looking, well made boat shoe. It runs slightly longer than expected but is quite comfortable. The only problem I experienced was that the inner sole tended to slip as I walked. It really does not seem to affect performance. The outer finish on the shoe is excellent.

Overall I am happy with the shoe. The material breathes and has superior heel cushioning. I broke my ankle and tore the plantar fasciitis tendon which has made finding a comfortable shoe very challenging. These are the only shoes I have found that lessen impact to where I am not in pain when walking. However these shoes do not have arch support like others stated. I had to insert Dr Scholl’s arch supports in these shoes. I ordered a size larger after reading other reviews and still the shoes are a bit too tight. I have narrow feet yet I find these shoes in normal width are unusually narrow. The bottoms grip well. At work I wear surgeons booties over these Nikes and the threads literally gnaw through the fabric. I have the grey with mist blue color and have gotten numerous compliments on them. I will probably order another pair, but will order 1.5 sizes larger.

Much bulkier than I had expected - I have owned Timberland Boat Shoes in the past that seemed to last forever. This recent pair of The Kia Wah Bay 2 Eye boat shoe (size 13) are certainly no Sperry Topsiders'. I would never wear these near water. They are nicely lined but are much too heavy for beach wear. They are more like dress shoes. I didn't return them, but I did order a pair of Top Siders to fit the casual bill. Maybe it's just the large size, but they are not what I expected appearance wise, either.

At least one true size smaller than normal - These shoes have a great sole. I’m not too crazy about the black ones but I got the dark brown and they're good looking. I wear a size 10 with most shoes and I had to drop down to a size 9 to fit into these and my toes still have room to grow.

No Arch support - I have worn many different Timberland shoes in the past. This Boat Shoe doesn't make it. There is none of the usual Timberland arch support. At the end of the day, my feet are tired. I do not recommend this shoe.

My Kia Wah experience - I enjoy my Kia. However I feel a slight bar effect just behind my toes, as if there is a ridge or beam laterally in the sole of the shoe. I hope when I wear socks it will be less of an impact, since in the summer I wear the shoes barefooted.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Zappos and the prompt shipment of my order. I have worn Timberland shoes for almost twenty years and am completely pleased with the shoe that I ordered. They are very comfortable, well crafted, and durable. My last pair was worn by me for over five years.

Timberland is without question the best quality and most durable shoe made. This boat shoe is their best boat style yet. Finally, a boat shoe in black! Comfortable, durable, quality leather and craftsmanship. Zappos, awesome lightening speed service as always. Ordered in the evening, at my door the next afternoon! Timberland – Don’t change or stop this model and color black.

Deck shoe review - The shoes are very nice except the laces are sort of screwed up. It looks like they dyed and part of them are brown and part are black. Looks funny to me. Also, they stitched a bright yellow tab on the top of the tongue which ruined the look. So I cut it off and I think it should be alright unless it starts tearing where I had to cut the tab off. Otherwise I can't complain because they carried my hard to find size so I am at their mercy. Thanks for asking.

Can always depend on Timberland quality - I've owned several pair of Timberland shoes over time and these are no exception to the well-made & high quality shoes I've come to know from Timberland. They are true to size, especially the wide widths, which are not so easy to find.

Wide shoe needed for casual wear - Very comfortable and true to size at 13W. I have a 12EEE foot, so finding shoes that fit are tough. Only issue is the canvas lining rolling up under the toes. Otherwise, a good shoe and value.
