Love these shoes. I am about to buy another pair. They are very light and give you a great feel of the road or trail, without making it uncomfortable over rocks. \r\n\r\nThey are thin, light, breath extremely well. My old pair have lasted me at least 1200 miles, and still feel great, and haven\'t fallen apart at all. The soles worn down, but as much as i might expect for the miles I put on them.\r\n\r\nI hope they keep making this style for a long time to come.

They feel great and look great! Of my five pairs of walking-around shoes, this is by far my new favorite pair!

These shoes are extremely light and comfortable. New Balance shoes are a great all around light shoe for multipurpose use. They are great for traveling or carrying inside a backpack. They are extremely lightweight; the lightest option you will find. I do not recommend these for serious trail running. It is not supportive enough and it is kind of slippery in wet terrains.

Wow! These look great and feel amazing - probably the lightest and most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned, straight out of the box. I fluctuate between two sizes depending on the shoe and am glad I went with the bigger size for this one, because they do seem to run a bit snug. Removable insole is a big plus. And as always, Zappos customer service is awesome!

I've seen these shoes described as being as comfortable as slippers and I couldn't agree more. On my second pair and I'll probably buy a third if they're still for sale in a few months. My experience is that these run a half size small, so bump up your usual size a half size and you should be fine. I've never used these for trail running but I can assure you that repeated road use has the potential to give you some sore feet (happened to me anyway). They're not intended for road running and I knew that, so it's nobody's fault but mine. But shoes this comfortable are hard to take off. Buy a pair, you won't regret it.

I used to be an avid runner, and by avid I mean 9 miles daily. I would not recommend this shoe for any high mileage, but a great simple work out shoe. Super light, durable, and low profile (which I love). So far a great shoe for day hikes/runs, working out.

I love this shoe. Very light and comfortable. Haven’t been able to take up to real trails yet, but for light ones these have performed as described. I would not recommend these shoes on the treadmill though. Ran about a mile and my feet were killing me. Strictly outdoor shoe, I could put 6+ miles without a problem.

For me running in this shoe is almost like running barefoot. It is very light weight but has enough support to make it my favorite trail shoe. Some people may feel that it is not protective enough of the bottom of the foot on rocky trails, but I have not found this to be a problem. I absolutely love this shoe.

Great shoe!!!!! I took it running during my entire vacation back home to Hawaii while on R&R and the shoe is outstanding. Not the most comfortable for long distance pavement but for three mile runs between road, grass and soil it was bomb! As far as the low profile I was looking for, I have never seen anything like it. Buy this shoe because it looks good when just getting around. I put in a comfort sole for walking around and just hanging. When I ran, I just took it out. Great job NB!

I was shocked at how uncomfortable these shoes were. I actually had to return them as I was having major issues walking in the city with these. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone who needs arch support or has a wider foot. They are very narrow and cramp your foot a lot at the front of the shoe.

They worked great for two races over very rugged trails. Steep up hills they're 5 stars (Easy flex in the foot), down hills 4.5 stars (no toe jam in the front), 5.0 stars in the flats. Also, the top mesh keeps feet cool but keeps all fine trail dust out.

Ordered Second Pair - NB MR790's are so good, I just ordered another pair. They are comfortable, stylish and good for short runs/walks. I hope NB keeps making them. I like the low profile of the sneaker. Also good is the low arch, especially since I have flat feet...the reason I cannot by NIKE and ADIDAS sneakers.

Going strong - I've had a pair close to 1 1/2 years now with 600 miles running on trail and pavement. The shoe still works great with no loss of comfort or cushioning. The only real sign of wear is a minor tear in the fabric. Tread still looks great. I purchased a second pair about 6 months ago because I was worried that NB had discontinued it. BTW, these shoes have totally changed my running form! You can't be a heavy heel striker in them because of the minimal cushioning. They taught me to land softly on my fore/mid foot and that in turn has kept my Achilles tendon very happy (no more problems like I had with previous shoes - knock on wood). I still have not had a run longer than 10 miles in them, but I'm looking forward to see how they will hold up to longer miles...

Perfect!!! Well let me start by saying these sneakers feel super good on my feet, I own mutible pairs of Nikes and Adidas and none of them feel as good as these babies and for the price and looks; forget about it you can't beat them. Thank you Zappos.

NB 790 awesome shoe - I have this shoe in a different color and they are great! Fit great, not a bulky high/thick shoe. They are a low profile version of a running shoe with a thin tongue. I hate a shoe with a padded or thick tongue and this is perfect. I am a running/trail shoe freak and this style is my favorite, you wont be disappointed, I promise! If you like, I would recommend buying 2 of the same pair, they last about 1-2 years wearing about 2 times a week. I recommend rotating your shoes, which would make you wear this one about 1-2 times a week. Keeps the shoe smelling and looking good for much longer. ENJOY your SHOE!!!! I DO!!!!

You Gotta Love'em - I love the way they look, and also the way they feel on the trail. Unfortunately, I've tore them up on some muddy paths so I don't wear them for much more than running now. I'm debating buying a second pair just for casual wear. I listened to the other reviews when I ordered and I'm glad I did. I wear 10 1/2 with most other brands and the 11's fit perfect in these! As for the arch support, I never realized how bad the arch support was in my other shoes because they definitely stand out in these. I definitely think they are worth their price.

Best shoe I've ever owned - These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I keep taking them on adventures that I think are sure to finish them off (25 mile hike in Zion with a 45 pound pack, 20+ miles in Havasupai with a 40 pound pack--they make an excellent aqua hiking shoe, btw). I'm starting to train for a marathon in them now and running 3+ miles 3 times a week with them with no discomfort. The tread is practically gone (had them over a year) and I know they're not appropriate for road running, but I just can't bring myself to move on to a proper running shoe. Maybe I should just get a fresh pair in another awesome color combination and run the marathon in them anyway!

Unfortunately, quality is defective - I've had 3 pairs of these shoes now and I love the look and the comfort. Super light shoes. However, within a couple of weeks my first pair started to separate the lugs from the sole. Zappos replaced them (the customer service was AWESOME!). My replacement pair is now doing the same. I've only worn these for about 2 months.

Love, Love, Love this shoe! It is so hard to find a good waterproof shoe that is good for light hiking and for city wear on crummy days that is also cute and comfortable. This shoe works perfectly! This shoe has great stability even though it has a lower back on it, but I would recommend something with more ankle support for hilly/loose footing hikes. The tread has great traction on wet rocks, pavement, gravel, snow, etc...I just wish it was a little "gummier" on ice conditions, but it is still not that bad. The only downsides are: A) really short laces (but this does keep the loops out of mud :-)...if you want to look at the positive side. B) The tongue of the shoe is really stiff, and puts a lot of pressure on the top of your foot when you first start wearing it. It is starting to really loosen up though after a few days of wear time. Overall, I would totally purchase this shoe again.

Athletic Slippers - The first time I wore them I knew I was hooked, these made me feel I've worn the wrong shoes my whole life. I should have run back to get another pair, and alas, I've missed out on the black/orange now, but thanks to Zappos there's still some other colors left. Colors aside, the shoe becomes like a slipper on your foot, and you can use it for everything. Excellent for uphill/downhill trails and streets due to their extremely light weight. When running it almost feels as if you are floating. Tread wear for my 165lb frame is minimal, many, many miles a day in them. In summary, these shoes are just easy to wear everyday and everywhere and classy enough to wear to dinner too.
