Wow! I bought these shoes after returning some expensive Bass shoes, because these shoes are much more comfortable. The first night wearing the shoes, I had four people comment on how great they look. I love Zappos.com, and think that for the price, quality, and style of these shoes, they are perfect for anything. Cool dress shoe - This is a very handsome, shoe. The leather is soft, and it looks much better in real life than it does on the pictures. I have only worn the shoes twice since I purchased them, but they feel comfortable and seem to be all that they were advertised to be.

Great value - My girlfriend still complains about the smell of the leather! It is hard to find a full grain leather shoe with this quality for under $100. Good deal, I bought them in black as well. Recommend to those who like Kenneth Cole or similar.

These shoes are pretty okay. If I was shoe shopping in a store I would have tried them on and not gotten them. In this case, I was in need for shoes and these were good enough. Size, definitely slightly large for me. However, I feel with an insole it might be perfect. Style, definitely a good style. I wear these to the office in a suit and the shoes are great for that. Comfort, it's taken about a month to finally break-in the shoes, so it's better now. Even then, you can tell that the makers skimp on the inside in order to get this great price point. It's not terrible, definitely not great. Again, an insole could help. Other: I had no issue about smell. I was worried about it from all these posts, but in the end the shoes smelled like normal shoes.

Smell is terrible, like gasoline or tires. My coworkers complain. Especially in meetings. I have only worn them twice, so I hope the smell goes away soon...

Comfortable from day one. Smell like creosote, but it decreases with time. Not nearly as strong after only a month. A very good looking and comfortable shoe.

Brands I'd also recommend: Bought a pair of Dockers later. Same style. Primo shoes

Like 'em - As other reviewers mentioned, this shoe does have a strong smell when brand new. It fades over time though. Overall I really like these shoes--they are stylish and are as comfortable as any dress shoe can be. I am considering buying the black ones now.

Pretty descent shoe - I like these shoes rather well. I have seen that other people have complained about the smell. I agree with them that the shoes do have some sort of strong rubber smell. I put some dryer sheets in them to try to absorb some of the smell. It didn't work great, but it did a bit. It doesn't bother me that much as I don't wear these shoes every day. They don't make my feet smell that way after wearing them all day either.

Best/Smelliest shoe ever - I have the black. I love this shoe, but what is with the smell???? It isn't going away, and I have had them for 2 months. They are very comfortable, look awesome, and have a great price, but man. Be aware if smells bother you. I am living with it.

Decent shoe, once broken in - First time Zappos purchase. I like the look of this shoe, but comfort leaves a bit to be desired. Arch support isn't great and the back of the shoe rubbed the back of my foot until it was raw. After breaking in the back of the shoe, comfort was better. Also noticed a bit of the chemical or cleaning solution type of smell for the first few days of owning the shoe. This too has now gone away.

I do love these, but there was the initial smell issue and they are also quite loud. Actually they are very loud. Still I have gotten plenty of comments about them.

Shoes - I actually wear these everyday for work. I do a lot of running around and wished they could have been a little more comfortable. I ended up buying some insoles for them. Also, the leather has a smell to them I can’t describe… I can’t quit figure it out but you can sure get a whiff through out the day.

These shoes smell awful! I read reviews that said the same thing, but thought that it couldn't be that bad. It's pretty bad. I thought these shoes looked great, but were not very comfortable. It took a long time to break the leather in. The smell sticks around for even longer. I gave up on this pair of shoes. I would not recommend them.
