These shoes are perfect for work, where I spend much of the day standing. They are always a tight fit at first, but break in nicely over a couple of weeks. They last forever.

I wear about a 9.5 mens shoe and bought these in size 43. They were snug and tight on the top of my foot but I thought they would stretch. They did stretch a little, but not at the padded collar which is where they are tightest. I am a cook and they worked great for long days of walking quickly on slippery surfaces. I work on the line now and do more standing than walking and my feet and knees are killing me. I also noticed there is a big split in the sole after 5 months. The support is great, but there is very little cushion and they seem to be much better for walking than standing. The non-slip sole works pretty well. I suggest ordering a size bigger than you would expect.

I had DANSKO shoes before that were very comfortable. This is the reason why I chose these shoes for work. I was a little disappointed. There is absolutely no ventilation, so after a long day of work my feet were hot. Also, my work is fast paced, and I couldn't walk in these shoes as fast as in my sneakers. I found them roomy and comfortable though.

Order one size larger -
I have worn two pairs of black Dansko Professional clogs for years, size 35. When I bought white ones a year ago, they seemed tight, but I figured they'd stretch out a bit. Never happened. I finally buckled under, bought new size 36 ones and gave away the other ones. I don't know why it is, but the white leather doesn't seem to "give" as much as the black. They're still the best shoes for me when I'm on my feet for 14 hours a day.

Great shoes.
What a wonderful pair of shoes; they are comfortable and look great. I wear them with dress pants and dress them down with a pair of jeans and a T-shirt. I am on my feet all day long and even at the end of the day I am pleased with the comfort level and support they provide me. I highly recommend them.

After trying for over a year to find a pair of black Danskos that fit like my older ones I finally decided to try once more. Don't know if it was the Box Leather (whatever that might be) but these fit great! Thank you, I am a happy Zappos shopper.

Dansko Professional -
I have problems finding shoes that are comfortable, and usually end up with painful calluses on the balls of my feet after a day of walking in most shoes, even if they felt comfortable in the store. I generally stick to my New Balance 811 walking shoes for all occasions, despite the fact that they look odd with skirts or dress pants, but I anticipate having a job interview in the near future, and want to make a good impression. I was so pleased to find that the Dansko Professional shoes fit perfectly. I did the first trial on carpet around the house--felt fine. I carried them in to work and wore them all day with thick socks--again fine. I carried them in to work and wore them all day with thin tights--perfect! I probably wouldn't want to speed walk in them, since they fit more loosely than shoes with laces, but for standing a lot while working at a lab bench and walking from bench to freezer zillions of times a day, they are terrific.

These shoes both look good and feel good. I am studying to be a surgical technologist and my feet were constantly hurting. These shoes are great for supporting my arch and they don't come off like I thought they might. My feet still hurt a little, but that probably can't be helped when you're standing in one spot for 8 hours. Also, I got the shoes in 2-3 days! Amazing! Great service.

Great shoes for work -
I love these shoes! This is my second pair, they last forever. I had my first pair since 2005. They take about 3 or 4 days to break in and once they do you'll never want to take them off. They do feel snug at first especially with thicker socks, but they are leather and they will stretch and relax. I recommend these shoes to anyone who has problems with their lower back, legs, or are having a hard time finding shoes with arch support. I wore them as a flight attendant and as a baker so they are versatile in every occupation. I would order a size up if you wear half sizes; my shoe size is a 7 1/2 so I order a 38 in this shoe. I love Zappos and refer everyone who asks about my shoes to this site. They have the best price on these shoes anywhere and the free shipping doesn't hurt either! If you're interested in these shoes I would give them a try they are well worth every penny.

I read so many positive reviews about this shoe, as far as comfort. I was sorely disappointed. If you are truly on your feet all day, skip this shoe. After 8 hours, my feet and legs were so tired and aching. My feet are still numb. I gave them a chance for a few days hoping they might break in and become comfortable. No such luck. My search continues for a comfy work shoe.

Love my new Danskos w/ Box Leather -
I wasn't sure about the box leather as I've only had the shiny kind before, but this is great and easy to keep looking new. Danskos have gotten a bit smaller over the past couple of years - so I ordered a 40 instead of 39 and they were perfect. Love the roominess and appearance (i.e. they don't look clunky). As always, Zappos is super.

Great Shoes -
These are the best shoes I have ever owned. My sister-in-law has a pair and I liked them so I bought me a pair. I have bone spurs on my heels and my job requires me to be on my feet on concrete and walking a lot for eight hours a day. Since I have been wearing these shoes my feet have quit hurting like they use to. I can walk after sitting for awhile without crying from the pain. I would highly recommend these shoes. They are well worth the cost. Thank You Zappos.
