I hope you like puke lime green. I love Zappos, don’t get me wrong. These shoes did disappoint. The pictures displayed do not accurately reflect how awful the lime green puke colored heel is. Also, I know I wear a size 10 and these were a bit large.

Zappos is the best! Once again I am very pleased with the 992's. Very cool looking shoe, and probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I don't even bother going to stores to buy shoes anymore. Along with Zappos excellent service, you can find styles not available in stores.

Very good shoe - I had bought New Balance shoes in the past with good results, so I ordered these. Appreciate they come in half sizes, as well as different widths (I ordered a 2E). You get a lot of shoe for the money - good outsole, heavy cushioned sole, strong materials on the top shoe. They take a few wearings to break in - I probably wore mine two weeks, a couple of hours a day, before they broke in. Very cushioning - I walked all day on asphalt in Washington DC and really only felt a little bit of soreness under the balls of my feet, which is pretty good because usually my feet are toast after a weekend walking all over DC. The 992s look classy too. The fit is sort of neutral - they are not incredible high or low arched - very neutral fit which should suit most people. These shoes are great walkers or joggers. They are just a classic, well made runner using top quality materials.

Pleased with New Balance shoes and delivery - I'm 58 and relatively new to competitive running. Before I bought the New Balance M992, I ran in Asics GT-2110 which many runners and a podiatrist recommended. I have no complaints about the Asics, but in the past I always tried to stick with New Balance athletic shoes made mostly in the USA. So when my Asics started to get old (about 400 miles), I decided to try some highly rated New Balance. I just resumed running after an 8 month bout of plantar fasciitis in my right foot and recurring knee and various other pains. I have put enough miles on the 992s (15-22 miles per week) to say that I am every bit as satisfied with them as with the Asics. My daughter told me about Zappos, so I visited your website and after a little research, decided on the New Balance shoes with high US content. As I said, I have no complaints at all about the Asics, but I'm very satisfied with the 992s and with Zappos service. The shoes were delivered within 24 hours after my on-line order and that was a very pleasant surprise. So in the future I will definitely be a repeat New Balance from Zappos shopper!

Great, classic shoe - This is a great, classic shoe. Heavy for serious mileage, but for the gym, and walking around, there's nothing better. Great support and cushioning. I'm an over-pronator, but with my orthotics in place, these are one of my fav's.

Zappos is awesome! I ordered the New Balance 992 for myself and for my wife. They're awesome. I started off by ordering them a half size larger like I have always done with these shoes because they tend to run a half size small. It took me 4 prs. to find the right size and the same went for my wife. I am a 12 med. and that is exactly what I bought. This is the first pr. of New Balance that has fit true to size for me and my wife. At first I figured since I was dropping down a 1/2 size I should order a wider shoe but that wasn't the case. Length was right but it was too wide. So as I mentioned this shoe for me was true to my foot size. I recommend not ordering a half size larger. I still had a thumbs width left at the toe. I would recommend this company to anyone. They were so helpful and polite even up to the 4th and final pair. In spite of all my ordering mistakes I still received each pair back in 2-3 days. Third pair of 992's. I feel with the combination of rugged trail and road running that I do these shoes offer consistent stability and are light enough to run the (2) 10k races I run in each year. It seems to take a while to adjust to the newness but after a week or so feels like a really good fit.

"Vacation Foot Syndrome" Saver - At 5'8", 250 pounds, I know that a vacation is going to be a real foot killer for me. Suddenly walking all over the place trying to do and see everything my meager vacation time will allow, is going to cause heel pain, tenderness and ache in the balls of my feet and possibly even small stress fractures and micro tears in foot tendons and ligaments. I ordered the 992 after hearing a lot of good things about it and also seeing that in a poll of like a thousand regular walkers, the 992 (then the 990) was the favorite. We were preparing to go on vacation and I knew I'd be walking far more than I would normally. My feet did still hurt on vacation. I'm way overweight with the poor muscle mass to go with it so no surprises there but the 992 was more comfortable than any other I've tried and it provided great support. I never rolled a food while turning fast or had to quit for the day because of sore feet. The biggest surprise was when my feet felt totally normal again the second day I was home from vacation. That's about two weeks faster than any other shoe. Definitely worth the price and I received the famed Zappos service in that they upgraded my shipping from the 3 day service I ordered, to next day service. The shoes arrived the day after I ordered and were perfectly packed and boxed and looked great.

Excellent shoe - My husband has loved his 992 for years and years. Shopping Zappos was fantastically wonderful.

New Balance M992 - Best shoe on the market for narrow width buyers. Fit and finish is just right.
