Very comfortable casual dress shoe--wear them to work all the time and great for walking to and from public transportation. In the little time I've had them, several co-workers have complimented me on them.

Great shoes -
I really like most Clarks having owned probably 10 pairs. These are probably the best I have bought as they combine comfort and the styling is very good. The only negative is they don't breathe that well like most loafers so your feet sweat some, but not bad at all. Most snug fitting loafers have this issue. I highly recommend these and Zappos is the place to get them

Pictures don’t do justice -
These shoes are quite a bit dressier than the pictures let on and they are extremely comfortable. ONE WARNING is they tend to run a little tight so if you are on the border between widths I would go with the wide. I had to return them but the Zappos team is so great that it wasn’t an issue.

Needed a new pair of black loafers for a sales convention at the last minute. Found these locally at a good price but was nervous that I would have sore feet from breaking them in. Nope. Fit great right out of the box. Stylish and lightweight. Lacks some arch support...will buy an insert...no big deal. Great shoe.

I have owned my pair for a little more than a year, worn them to work practically everyday and in rain snow and sleet. From day one, I highly recommend this very comfortable shoe, especially for the wide footed like me. It was also very instrumental in resolving my foot discomfort at the end of a long day. It is time to buy another pair and will do so without hesitation.

All on the Clarks I have owned in the past (6 pairs) have all fit very well. As soon as I put this pair on I knew I selected another great pair. The fit and width are comfortable and the shoe looks great too!!! This was my first purchase on-line and all went well. I will continue to buy Clarks.

Good looking shoe but a little narrow in the toe box -
I also ordered Rockports and they fit just fine, but these seem to run narrow in the toe box.

A Devout Rockport Wearer Reviews Clarks Escalade -
After a round of foot problems 20 years ago, I found Rockport shoes to be the best shoes on the market and have purchased approximately 20-30 pair since. I have dabbled with other brands over the years, but Rockport shoes have endured while the others have been donated or given away.
I tried a pair of Clarks Escalades on while looking for a new pair of shoes and found the narrow width to be quite comfortable (except for the width) and thought to take a chance on the wide width ordered from Zappos. The Clarks did not disappoint. They are extremely comfortable; however, I am now looking for the right socks to wear with my new shoes.

Perfect for casual wear -
The pics don't really do this shoe justice - the leather is almost marbled and looks great. Compared to Alfani, Kenneth Cole - these offer much more comfort and break in immediately. Since this shoe is a slip-on, you have the same issues - namely, wearing it all day can leave the feet a little sweaty.

Cute and Comfy, I *LOVE* these shoes! I've been reading other reviewers complaining that these aren't attractive, but are comfortable, and they're Half-Right, IMHO! They're CUTE as Heck, but I think it's about 'Attitude'! I mean, I’m 23, fun lovin', and I see these as 'Cute and Funky' - I can wear them with white knee sox, a short jumper & a white blouse, for that 'School Girl' look - Or with a dark suit and black tights for work (fairly formal/professional office), OR Neon Pink tights with black fishnets over them, and a wild mini for Clubbing, OR Denim Mini & bare legs for casual, OR with Jeans - Cute & Versatile! For those of us born with 'Ogre Feet' (my term for my feet, NO offense intended) they're GREAT! I've finally found shoes that are Comfy, Cute, and Versatile - Casual Skirt or Jeans, Going Out, and even Work, and wear them all day (and night) without pain or getting tired!
