The left boot was difficult to put on at the entry. It was also shorter by 1/16 of an inch (when measured sole to sole with the right pair). When on, both actually felt the same (very comfortable).

I bought these with the intention of using them as my motorcycle riding boots, but find myself using more and more for the day to day. I'm sure they would be great for riding horses as well and are sturdy enough for it. Go ahead and buy them you won't regret it.

I bought these for my husband - who is not a boot guy. They are stylish and high quality. I have Fryes and love them. He did need to stretch them out in the arch and width. It's hard to say if this is his foot or the make of the boot because we have nothing to compare to in terms of boots. He does love them and wears them all the time, which says a lot.

Lovely boots, but I've gone a full size larger than shoe size and still can't get them on. They are very tight for my instep to pass through into the foot section. I give up and will look for another design that has a zip. Too bad, I'm very disappointed. I love everything else about this boot.

These boots fit great. They look awesome with jeans. We ignored the guidance that we should buy the 1/2 size smaller and ordered his normal size. We knew this was safe because of Zappos shipping (free both ways). The size was spot on. Glad we ignored the other reviews!

These are the nicest boots I own. I have had many pairs of Red Wings and Danner's that I use for work, and I love those boots, but these are my favorite for every thing else outside of work. These boots are comfortable and seem to run a half size too big. I read other reviews that said that and I ordered a half size smaller than I wear and they fit perfect. I love these boots.

I\'ve only had these boots for a few hours, but already I\'m loving them. I was already loving the purchase when I could smell the leather when I opened the door for the delivery man. My house now smells like a leather shop. Boots fit great at a full size smaller than I normally wear in sneakers, but I typically buy them a half size large. I even had room to fit a regular odor eater insert comfortably. I\'m new to the slip on boot style, so that will take some getting used to. I cannot speak highly enough for the quality and look of this boot (in chocolate). These look great with a nice pair of boot cut jeans, of course. Zappos service was also flawless as always. This purchase was well worth the cost as of now, and I expect I will think the same years from now when I will still be wearing these boots.

This is a superb product from a truly great company. I have worn Frye boots for many years, and these are right up there with the best. The leather looks really unique and works great with denim. If you have low volume or narrow feet, you may want to consider ordering a half size down.

These are great looking boots. And very comfortable too. I made the mistake of ordering a half size small because so many reviewers indicated that these boots are generally a little bit big. While I could get my feet in them, it was quite a bit of work. Ease of slipping them on and off was more important to me than a completely smug fit. Zappos quickly exchanged my 9's for 9.5's.

These boots are very comfortable, with little to no breaking in needed. I ordered them in chocolate, and was a little surprised by how they actually look compared to the photos. Mine are a lot more distressed looking, which gives the leather the appearance of almost an exotic leather, similar to ostrich. At any rate they look really cool with most jeans and khakis. Every time I've worn them, I've received compliments. These boots definitely give you a boost in confidence whether you need it or not. If you typically need a wide boot, you might have to order a whole size bigger than usual just to be able to fit your foot in these puppies. Even now I have to wear very thin socks in order to keep them from bunching up and putting pressure on my toes. But once I get them on and my socks are situated properly they really are extremely comfortable.

Awesome boots. I usually wear 9.5 or 10 in sneakers, but decided to go with a 9 based on the review. I only went a half-size small because I have wide feet and didn't want to cram 'em in too hard. The first attempt at putting these guys on took 20 minutes, a shoe horn, and a LOT of pulling stomping, so much so that I seriously considered exchanging them. Alas, after much work, they went on and felt pretty good right away. A little stiff, but after a few days wearing these around campus, they now fit like a glove and feel great. They look great and bring a lot of compliments. I absolutely recommend these boots, especially from Zappos.

Bought the boots and they came in a few days. I wear a size 9 and ordered a size 8.5 based on reviews. I have wide feet and felt that the boots were too tight. I should have ordered a 9 due to my wide feet. The boots don't have an odor fighting insole so they stink when you take them off. I put a pair of odor eaters inside and that solved the problem, but it made my boots a little tighter. I suggest ordering your true size if you plan on using an odor eater or a soft insert insole. It makes a big difference.
