A Bargain Boot. I bought these Camp Walkers for walking around camp, on a long canoe trip in Labrador. A stroll in damp moss lead quickly to damp feet, but I think that's typical of membrane liners. The big complaint I have is the way the tongue is sewn in much too snugly. They're quite hard to get on, so that I am unable to wear more than one thin pair of socks in them. For people with high arches, like many of us with wide feet, this lack of gussets is a real design flaw. They are, however, light, well cushioned, and relatively inexpensive.

Finally a wide shoe that fits - I have particularly wide feet and have had a difficult time finding shoes to fit. Usually, I have to go up to size thirteen. I've also had a probelm with my feet sinking down into the soles of other lightweight shoes. I wear good quality socks and deplore the feeling of material scrunched up under my feet when they're crammed into shoes that are not quite wide enough. These shoes were and remain comfortable right out of the box. I do a lot of hiking up here in Juneau on my days off work, and am very pleased with the quality, fit, and appearance of the Propet Camp Walker Hi shoe. The laces could stand to be a bit longer. Time will tell how well they hold up. I plan on ordering more Propet shoes.

Propet camp Walker Hi-tops - I really love my Camp Walkers. They're the first shoes in this style I've found that fit good & are comfortable all day. The only problem I see is the liners are wearing out on the sides of the heel. I don't think the liners are going to last a 1,000 miles.

Ordered 8.5 EEE, too narrow - My husband did not have a chance to try them out, they felt like a size 9 or 9.5 even though they are marked 8 1/2. and it was not a wide with of EEE. My husband knows his width size and this was not it.

Richard, New Orleans - A very comfortable shoe, feels wider and longer than size says. I wear an 8, 6E, but the 5E was very comfortable. The shoe dries quickly over night when wet, due to the water proofing. My feet do sweat excessively, too. If there is a 1000 mile guarantee, then that is the only draw back. The soles wear easily.

A shoe that once broken in fits like a glove... I wear an 11 1/2 EEE which is a difficult size to find at times. Ever since I started buying Propet, I've been able to usually find a shoe manufactured by them in my size. Anyway, initially, the shoe was difficult to put on, but the leather quickly stretched enough after a few wearings to get that good fit. I'm not crazy about the half fabric/half leather look (I would have preferred an all leather design) but the price would have probably been higher for an all-leather shoe that is made this well and comes up above the ankle for really great support.

Ranger - I have truly wide feet and the width is good on these. These are NOT waterproof, however. I walked through wet grass and my feet were soaked! Also soles are very thin and need to be stiffer.

Propét Camp Walker Hi! I first found the Propét Camp Walker Hi at a specialty shoe store for wide sizes. After wearing it daily for over six months, I returned to that store to purchase another pair. The store was out of this paticular shoe. I searched the internet and found Zappos.com. I immediately ordered two pairs. The price was approximately 10%less than the specialty store. I've searched for years for a durable, comfortable, good fitting, versatile pair of shoes. I get a good fit with the 5E size I require. This shoe serves me very well. I work on my feet, I also commute by motorcycle in all weather conditions, my feet have never been wet while wearing the Propét Camp Walker Hi! Consider Seattle area rainfall and motorcycling and dry feet. I wear the black color most, though I have the same in a brown. For work, hiking, walking, and riding motorcycle, I like these shoes. This is a soft and flexable boot so some motorcyclists may opt for a harder, heavier boot. The sole has a 1000 mile wear guarantee. These boots are comfortable right out of the box, I found I can improve comfort even more with a quality after market insole. The tread design is just right for grip and traction. This, in my opinion, is very good all-around footwear. That, coupled with Zappos.com shipping to your door step convenience, is why I recommend these boots at Zappos.

Great features but hot on your feet - Great features, well padded toungue, right below the speed lace hooks is a lace locker so the bottom laces don't loosen while you tuck in the tongue and tie the laces. Good fit and they wear well for over a year now. My only complaint is that the liner which makes them waterproof also makes them sweatproof and insulates your feet. On the coldest winter walks, my feet feel HOT, even though I'm cold everywhere else. I'm going to buy them again for the fit though.

ROOMY! These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. The extra width, which I need for some foot problems that I have, was more than enough. The only minor complaint I have is that they are a little slippery in wet weather.

Hard-to-fit-feet - These boots are very comfortable. Even though the size is 5E instead of 4E, they fit just fine. They look nice too, I am a happy customer.

Getting use to - Firtunately before purchasing I perused the other reviews in order to choose the width. When the gentlemen I was reading spoke of the snugness of a certain width I immediately went to the next width. I was glad I did. It was, for a little while, snug even with the 'warning', but after walking them out, and I do a lot of walking on hilly terrain, they fit perfectly now. How I long for a city with normal, regular sidewalks. But at least the Walkers support me pretty well. I'm very satisfied.

Looks great feels great - I typed in yahoo search for a black size 16 EEE water proof boot and this is what came up so I ordered a pair. I love them. I ride my Honda 650 rincon with them thru a lot of creeks. I also just wear them around on caution if walking on tile floor that's very slick. Wish they were a few inches taller but I love them anyhow! JERRY IN KENTUCKY
