Great, if you must wear shoes When my black shoes, another brand, broke.... I knew that I wanted a black pair, just like the last brown pair that I bought.... The brown pair is now on it's third set of re-treads, and they still look, wear, and are just as comfortable as the first day I worn them to work. I am sold on this shoe!

Bought three pairs of these shoes This really is a very confortable shoe...so much so that after getting the first pair, I liked them so much that I got two more pair..one in brown and one in black. Now that it's winter, I'm considering buying a fourth pair a half-size later to go with thicker socks. If they quit making this shoe, I'm going to be really really unhappy.

The shoes felt great right out of the box. No break-in was necessary. Mine are size 8W, which fit my wide feet just right. The cushioning is good. These Bostonian Tuscanas feel better than my Clarks dress shoes. I do wish the toe box was slightly more pointed to make it look dressier. As it is, the Tuscanas have a somewhat square front that looks just a tad clumsy, but overall a 5-star rating nevertheless.

Grreat Shoe - Just received my third pair. The cushioning and arch support is remarkable. They fit without discomfort from the first day. I usde them in Rome, Italy, walking on cobblestone streets every day and they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. One drawback is the laces are heavily waxed and the bow on the shoe unties fairly frequently. I recommed replacing the laces when you get them and you'll have a great shoe.

Bostonian Tuscana - Best shoes I ever have owened. I bought this pair of shoes because of the overwhelming positive reviews from customers and the way it looked. Thanks to Zappos web site, it's very easy to navigate around and very informative. The customer service is great. I bought several pairs of shoes from Zappos since I discovered this web site.

Great classic shoe - My husband does not shop for shoes, so we do the next best thing. I buy, he tries them on and we go from there. These are great and fit in so well with the younger crowd of doctors at the clinic. Fit well and look great. A winner.

Great Looking and Felt Like a slipper first time - Great shoes, comfort, looks. The only thing is the shoe laces, to long and very slippery need to double tie them.

This is a very well built shoe that is extremely comfortable. When I received this pair though, the brown finish was blemished in a few spots, so I only wear as a casual shoe. Still, you can't go wrong.

Great look, but runs narrow - My feet are an average 9M, but these felt very narrow and a bit undersized. Like some Italian shoes do. The quality was top notch, as was the look and the leather, so I was dissapointed they didn't work out. Zappos took them back no questions with a prepaid UPS label. How easy!

Update of 11/10/2003 review for Bostonian Tuscana - Having worn these shoes for a half year now, I have a different impression of the Bostonian Tuscana model since my original review on 11/10/2004. Since the software on this site doesn't give me the capability to do an update of my original review, I am writing a new review. The same comments about good fit right out of the box still applies, no break-in required. The leather is very soft. The problem is with the weak glue weld which led to separation of the leather and the sole at the flex point (the ball area) of the forefoot. My shoes had never gotten wet. The weld separation was simply caused by a weak welt. Also the finish is not durable at all. Mine's all faded and dull as well as all scratched up in the toe box. My Irish-made Clarks were much more durable (don't know how durable are the Chinese versions). The sole shows a moderate amount of wear. It's more durable than either leather sole or some foam rubber soles, but not as durable as polyurethane soles. Overall I only consider these to be average shoes, not particularly durable, not particularly dressy, just average.

Spot-on! I just purchased a brown pair of these Bostonian beauties and I have to admit I'm as pleased as I could possibly be. They are very comfortable, good looking, and best of all the price was right for the shoe. When I put them on the first time, it felt as if I was putting on a pair I had worn many times that were completely broken in. I'm absolutely going to buy another pair of these in black. Take my word for it, only buy these if you want total satisfaction the first time.

Re: Bostonian Tuscana - I like the shoe, it is functional, and economical. I only wish that you would carry more variety in the Men's Wide size 6.5, I would really have liked this shoe and the others that I have bought before in a size 6.5.
