Waterproof and very warm. Good arch support and very shock absorbent. But they are quite stiff and hard. The heel cups are hard and not padded like the rest of the boot; it gave me some nasty blisters. Going to try to pad them with felt since I've already worn them.

Love these boots! I found them true to size and after my Uggs, are the most comfy, cozy boots for tramping around, didn't have to break them in at all. Additionally, I broke my ankle badly two years ago, and I'm able to wear these boots without any undue pressure around my surgery sites. Also love the slightly punk look. Haven't been able to test them in snow yet but look forward to wearing them in our first storm and testing the waterproofing.

Aside from the fact that I received these gorgeous boots in one day, yay! Zappos, they are awesome! The fit is perfect. I wear a size 7 and these boots are a perfect size 7. They feel like gloves for your feet and required zero break in time. The craftsmanship is typical Merrill, amazing. The leather is extraordinarily soft and the canvas trim is very subtle but stylish. We bought these boots in brown, for our daughter to take to college. I found them on Zappos for less money and in black, for me! They will be my "go to" boots for our Northern California rainy season! Love them!

These boots are so cute! Unfortunately, the arch does not hit my foot in the right place and I will be returning them with a heavy heart. The boot fits true to size, easy on/off with zipper, cute, and stylish. The only reason I am rating the comfort as a 3 is the misplacement of the arch. It is too far back toward my heel.

This amazing boot has it all: warm, cute, snow-proof and totally comfortable from the moment you put them on -- truly a performance boot! Just moved from West Coast to East Coast and realized that I needed some warmth to see me through the winter. Bought these boots and have been thrilled with the purchase. Wore them with leggings in city (very cute with a little edge) then took them to Sedona AZ and did some steep red rock hiking and canyoneering (comfy & supportive) and then hiked through fresh snow in them (warm & waterproof) -- they were perfect for every occasion! Since they do run big, I ordered my usual 8.5 but added in a sheepskin footbed (best 10 bucks ever spent) and wore snowboarding socks to hike in. Great boot and arrived in just 24 hours. Love you tons Zappos!
