I wear a size 12 M (leaning toward narrow), with skinny ankles and muscular calves (17.5") on long shins (I'm over 6' tall). Most wide calf boots
have a strange shape (too baggy at ankles, foot area disproportionately small for wide calf, etc.), but these fit really well. There is a little extra room around foot for me (could wear thick socks
with them), perfectly sized ankle area (no baggy cankle-ish thing going on) and a slim-looking shaft that's high enough for a tall girl to wear (top of shaft is about 1" below my knee). There is enough room in calf to tuck in skinny jeans
. I also ordered Edeen, which has snug foot, baggy cankle-ish thing, and a shorter, considerably wider shaft. No contest -- the Valencia boot is plain (in a classy, wear it anywhere kind of way), but has a more attractive heel (not rubber), slims the leg/ankle/foot, and is far more comfortable to walk in than Edeen! Hands down winner over Edeen!
