Awesome boots. I got them to go on a winter retreat in Michigan with the youth at my church. It was single digits all weekend and my feet were dry and toasty. My toes only got cold when I was standing still watching a broomball game for 30 minutes on a cold concrete curb in the middle of a field. I use arch support inserts but even without them, these boots had decent support.

The Merrell Whiteout 8 Waterproof boots rock! They are the warmest boots/slippers I have ever had and I literally wear them around the house as slippers because they are so comfortable! Immediately after buying my first pair of these, I bought a second pair! These are the only boots I will ever own again! Super comfortable - super tough.

I ordered these boots to be used in the winter (up in Wisconsin). The fit is surprisingly good. They are pretty roomy in the toe area, allowing me to wear thick or double socks, but not too roomy for one pair. I've only worn these in 30's and light snow, but so far, they are very warm. The comfort is very nice and I love wearing these boots. They are one of the pricier boots, but I feel (so far) they are worth it. One disadvantage of the black finish is that (like a black car), they show dirt and scuff marks more easily, but I can live with that. Great boots so far!

Merrell footwear is the best. These boots do not disappoint one bit. They are warm, waterproof and super comfy. If you have wide feet, order a half-size up.

This was an awesome buy! I hate having cold feet in the winter, and these boots have definitely kept my feet both warm and dry - especially with all the snow we've gotten this year. They support my flat feet well and are super comfortable. Great boot at a great price.

Nice boot, wasn't sure want I wanted, just that it was warm, waterproof, and that it felt good after I wore it all day, Well it does, so buy it and you'll be happy you did.

This is a terrific boot. I have 3 dogs that I take on 2 mile walks every day and replaced a worn out pair of Columbia Bugaboo boots with these. They are light and comfortable and give great traction. The only negative is sizing - I originally ordered one-half size larger than my shoe size and had to return for a full size larger. Zappos handled the return quickly and efficiently.

These are awesome boots, and Zappos' service is just amazing. I needed some solid snow boots for trekking around 9,000 feet in the Rockies this winter. I ended up ordering three pair of Merrell boots (the other two were the Isotherm Mid and Isotherm Zip) to choose between, and these won out on basis of comfort, warmth and ruggedness. I have over sized calves, and these were the most comfortable in regard to that, and though the Mids were awfully cute, they just did not seem hard core enough for the rugged conditions I was expecting. These kept my toes warm and dry in below zero temps with lots of snow and ice. They are relatively easy on and off, with good ankle support. But they absolutely need a double knot to stay snug. Highly recommended!

I purchased these for my son for Christmas. I ordered them at 7:30 a.m. and received them by noon the next day...amazing! My son loved the boots. They are very light, but also very warm. They were just what he wanted for work.

Not as nearly shiny as in the picture. A great soft black leather. Love this boot. I am a 7 1/2 all day long but had to return for a 7. The heel still slips a tiny bit but I have really narrow heels. Thank you Zappos for super fast ship - ordered late one afternoon and was on my porch before noon the next day - incredible! Wish you sold everything! I'd never darken the door of Walmart ever again.

Love these boots. They are very comfortable and required no breaking in at all for me. I also love that they zip all the way down, so no more bunched up jeans or socks! I got the dark brown leather and it's very soft and lovely looking. I've gotten a ton of compliments on these every time I've worn them.

Great boots! Fit perfectly and quite comfortable for the height. The soft material does cause them to slouch slightly versus being rigid, but I like the look!

Oh I want to love these! I am going to keep them, but only as a "like" because I can't find anything as deeply chocolate, at this heel height, with a back zipper (didn't realize how much I wanted that) and a three-digit price point. But, gotta be honest - they are really big in the calves. I actually thought I might have ordered "extended calf" size or something. I think they will be great for tucking in pants, but I wanted a more sleek, oh alright I'll admit it, sexy look for skirts and dresses. They kind of bunch a bit in what I suppose is a (different) cool slouchy look. I would consider my calves average (running, yoga... not sticks), so just know that when you buy these, you get extra room.

I loved the look of the boots but they were a little too big in the foot, but also around my calf and leg, which I found unusual for high boots since I have athletic calves. If they weren't too big in the calves I would have returned for 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear. They are not as shiny as they appear in the picture.

The photo was taken with a flash which makes the boots too shiny, but does emphasize the super-soft slouchyness. They fit my big calves perfectly. Sometimes I think the slouch appears to slim my calves, instead of a stiff structured leather stretching like bandages to cover my big calf, but then other times the slouchyness appears to make my calves wider. One complaint is the lack of tread on the bottom, so prone to slipping.

I love this boot, it has beautiful leather, simple clean design with the zipper down the back. They are very comfortable for heels so I love that. The only thing about this boot that I wish was different was the width of the calf, it's a bit to large for me. There is a gap and I don't have unusually small calves. Otherwise, love them!
