While this boot is attractive and extremely comfortable, I had expected a sturdier sole, capable of supporting perhaps two season's use for short
outdoor errands and on-campus use while teaching. The soles are soft, will wear through easily, and not support walking on outside paved surfaces, even for short periods. The rubberized "grips" on the sole have no traction on smooth, wet floors, and are as slippery as flip-flops on wet tile. On the other hand, they make great alternative bedroom
slippers and are good for going outside in deep snow to unwrap the dogs'
ties, when they go around the oak in the back yard. These
boots are a good buy, if they're what you want, but they don't quite meet my needs.
