Wigwam Ultimax Cool-Lite Mid Hiker - I was in a mall in Tulsa wearing uncomfortable sandals that were making me miserable. I ducked into an athletic shoe store and, in desperation, bought a pair of Merrell athletic shoes. Needing a pair of socks to go with them, I asked the manager for his recommendation. He recommended this sock. I have to agree with him...the sock is well-made, very comfortable, and doesn't ride down in the heel area like other socks do, ending up bunched up under your heel. When I have serious walking to do (power shopping or fitness walking), I will only wear these socks. They're not the greatest to look at -- why can't they just make the same exact sock in all white and all black? -- but my feet are important enough to me that I don't care much what they look like. I really love these socks!

The Wigwam Cool-Lite Hiker Pro Quarter socks are comfortable if you have a high instep. They stay in place without squeezing your high instep. They are comfortable in cool to warm weather, but they are a little hot if the temps are very hot outside. I use them with walking shoes when I'm doing light hiking. These socks have a medium bulk. They are thicker than the really thin socks but not too thick for warm days. They help fill in the gaps since I have to wear wide shoes, but my feet are only wide in certain spots. I like the light beige color because it is similar to skin color and blends in well if I'm wearing shorts or capri pants.

Great fit. Used these for nearly 40 miles of hiking and the socks worked well. Not too bulky, but not too thin which helped prevent blisters.

Comfortable, light, great fit for my size 14's. Excellent color for summer (shorts) wear; not too dark. Excellent product.

Great fit for size 6.5-7 foot. Roomy and thick in the grey area. Ankle stays up but isn't tight. Very comfortable in cowboy boots and bumming around the house.

I purchased this brand of socks from Zappos almost 4 years ago and they really last a long time! Recently purchased a few more. Definitely worth the money. And Zappos -- just the best customer service in the planet! Thanks Zappos team!

These are my favorite socks. I originally started wearing them for hiking in the CA desert as they really do keep your feet cool in 100+ heat. But they are so comfortable (and wicking) that I have started wearing them all the time. I have even converted my boyfriend to these socks. Definitely worth the price!

These socks are the very best! Cool and comfortable to wear. After one washing, they fluff up and stay that way. No shrinkage with repeated washings.

At first I thought, why the heck am I buying such expensive socks? Then I received them and noticed the quality and realized why I was buying socks at this price. These socks are very comfortable and breathe great! It is nice not having feet which look like prunes after an outing and they wear well in the office.
