I bought these for my teenage daughter. She loves the style and thinks they are pretty comfortable, too, with good traction. She has a small but wide foot, so is sometimes hard to fit. I think they run a tad small and if she had not already worn them outside I might have considered going up a size, but in CA these are not shoes you wear every day and so we felt we were ok to stick with the size we ordered. But if you are on the edge between sizes, I might suggest you go up a size. These are a great neutral in the "military" color, because you can wear them with black, brown, etc. I will add that the first pair we ordered was defective - the lining came out with her foot! But Zappos was really nice about it and overnighted a replacement pair to us.

What a beautiful and well-made boot. The materials are top-notch and the whole inside is lined in a warm fuzzy fabric. Unfortunately the boot ran too narrow for my foot (I wear normal width shoes and tried them on with a sports sock) so I had to return.
