I wanted a durable, water and dirt resistant boot for Northwest-living. I've been wearing them for over a month now and I am VERY happy with them. Words cannot explain how hard I am on my footwear but I expect them to last me at least two years and I wear them almost every day. They are nearly water proof, warm, and easy to clean even though I walk through mud and puddles daily. The faux leather is very soft and expensive looking but scuffs and scratches pretty easy. However, the distressed quality of the fabric hides most of it. The bottom has treads but I slipped and almost fell the other day on some ice. Usually sheaths are a bit snug around my calf and when I bought them I barely zipped them up with leggings but they've stretched now to the point where I can tuck straight leg jeans into them easily. If you're in between sizes I would go for the smaller one. I'm 5'5 and it hits me perfectly right below the knee. The heel is a bit unattractive and out-of-place with the rest of the boot and I thought that would bother me but I don't even notice it now.

Gray color is gorgeous. Great boots. I suspect that the black would look a bit cheap. With cheaper boots the black never seems to look right. This is really the perfect gray color and looks rather expensive.

Great casual looking boot, love the cut out in the back for a little extra detail. Does seem larger in size than normal, maybe order 1/2 size smaller than normal. I'm completely happy with this purchase!

ordered the WW in 7.5 and 7 (normally wear a 7.5-8. The 7.5 is a bit big and the 7 is way too small! The size 7 definitely was not the wide calf if claims it is! Moral of the story, if you need the wide calf, order a size 7.5 or higher.

These boots are the perfect gray color. I normally wear a 10 and these were more than big enough and they stretched out the more I wore them. Would recommend going a half size smaller. Downside - I had these boots less than a month and the zipper broke on them. Zappos awesome customer service had me a replacement within a day. Got a 9.5 and they're perfect.

So so, they are not to size. I measured my calf's and ordered a W and when they came I had to return them and get a WW and they still barely fit and they should be way big. Will NOT fit over jeans if you have large calves.

I really like these boots; however, the zippers keep scratching the opposite legs. With only one wear, I've got four pretty serious scratches/tears.

I got these boots because I wanted a simple boot to wear to work. However, these boots look a little too casual for work. They are almost a bit "slouchy" and the leather looks cheap. The open notch at the back would be good for someone with wide calves, but for me, it just made the boot gap at my leg. Will be returning these.

Relatively comfortable but too cheap looking to pay this much. You could tell they were vinyl from 10 feet away - if I was 20 years old and going for an edgy/cheap club look, sure. But I'm in my 30's and would like to at least look like I can afford better than this. Also, the cushioning was barely existent.

Disappointed. This boot looked cool online, but turned out to be man made and not leather which made it look cheap when I got it.

I have these in mint green and I love them, because they don't leak, since they are one molded piece! They are great for mud season. I usually wear an 8-9, but ordered a 9, since I would probably be wearing heavy socks and I didn't want them to be too tight. I've had narrow (leaky) rain boots in the past and these have plenty of room and are very comfortable.

These boots are fantastic! They are my first pair of rain boots ever and I am glad I invested in such quality. They fit my feet perfectly and hit right under the knee. The only complaint in regards to comfort is that if you have to sit on the ground or cross your legs, the tops may cut into your thigh a little. Style-wise, they do not make your calves look chunky or anything like that. The buckle allows you to tighten them as much or as little as you can. The color options are great, too! The only other strange thing is that it says in the maintenance book that comes with the boots that they should not be stored in natural or artificial sunlight. I'm not sure if it actually damages them, but if that could be an issue for you, you should research it.

Love these! After coveting them for years & almost buying a few different colors, I ended up getting the Flame color and I'm so happy. Beware - these are bright! But coral is my absolute favorite color & it helps when I'm homesick for Florida in the Chicago snow. I bought these after returning a pair of beautiful Sorel's (they wore a hole in my Achilles, so uncomfortable) and I was worried they wouldn't keep me warm in the snow. I added a pair of Hunter welly socks and they are every bit as warm as my Sorels were. Bonus - they go up higher, so no matter how much the snow piles up or how deep the slush puddle is, my pants stay dry and clean. Love these boots & can't wait to wear them in the rain when it's warmer. If you have muscular calves, they're hard to take on and off with the welly socks. They're fine with just jeans or leggings, but I have to pull with the socks. Otherwise they fit true to size, don't order up or down.

LOVE the boots, HATE the color (Merlot should be called "brownish red"). The way the color shows up on the website it look more pink than brown, and in person, they are almost entirely brown. Very odd color. But that's minor. I'm returning for Graphite! So comfortable!

I love Hunters, but I will never buy another pair. I have been through three pairs in as many years. Each year the boots crack and fail at the part where the boot flexes (on the sides of the ball of your foot). I have had cheapo rubber K-Mart boots that lasted 10 years so I would think for the price these guys could do better. Too bad as they are the best fitting and most comfy rubber boots I have found. Still, buying then is just throwing away money if you plan to wear them more than every once in a great while.

I bought these for my daughter who is a freshman at a University in Tennessee. She absolutely loves her boots and really loves the color too! They came at the perfect time for her, springtime in the South.

Love the boots but like so many have said they are really narrow around the calves. I think I have pretty average sized calves and they just fit, that's without jeans or leggings. The boot itself actually runs a little big, which I expected with rain boots but coupled with it being so tight around the calf and it makes it difficult to walk. The color pictured (I ordered chartreuse) is much different in person. Online it's looks like a yellow but in person it's more of a 'spring green' I do plan to return these, but only because of how tight they are on my leg. I'm going to try a shorter pair.

I love these boots! I bought them to wear with my wedding dress as an alternative shoe in case it rains. They're bright, colorful, cute, and comfortable. I haven't worn them for a long period of time yet, but the times I have worn them, they haven't been painful in any way. I'm really happy with them.

I was so excited to finally get a pair of Hunter rain boots; I'd been coveting them for a while! These are perfect! They're not too tight in the calf, which I was worried about, and they're the perfect size to wear with socks (I usually wear a 7.5 or 8; I ordered the 8). The color is really nice, a pretty coral: bright, but not as orange as it looked on my computer.

Bought these for my daughter in college. She LOVES them! We bought the size she normally wears in shoes and they fit perfectly. Also, we bought another color which she didn't like when they arrived but with Zappos free returns it was so easy to send them back and get another pair.
