The Avi-Manitou has a low profile and firm midsole. It gives you good ground contact and stability. Even though the midsole is firm it still feels responsive. I also found this model to be very comfortable with moderate
arch support. This shoe seems very durable and well constructed. They look great and like most avias the price is definitely right. I am happy with these shoes and recommend them to others.

These shoes in size EE are perfect for my slightly wide and flat feet. :) The arches were a little high at first, but they broke in after one or two runs.

I agree with the other reviewers, these are very good shoes for the price. They fit true to size offering overall comfort and good shock absorption. I have the
Avia 5657MBVS
running shoes and I think they are comparable in support, comfort and fit. I would recommend these shoes for the average runner.

Like them so much I just ordered another pair, just in case they don't have this style when these wear out. Great fit, comfort and light on the feet. They also have good
arch support for my flat-ish feet.

Purchased for my son in a size 13. He wears the same shoes day after day to school and they have to work for PE as well as all day long for general wear. This is a reasonable trainer for,the price. Great service as usual. Lets see...I can either take a 13 year old shopping for several hours to find something he likes that we can afford in a thirteen or I can shop on Zappos, have him pick from 15 pictures, have the shoes delivered, usually in 48 hours, and get free returns if I need them...hmmmmmmm.

The shoe was great until the second time it was worn. Pushing my foot into the shoe, the back, top part of the heel of the shoe collapsed in on itself. Very flimsy, almost cardboard like material inside?! I tried to push it back into shape, but it wouldn't budge. Unfortunately, the old adage 'you get what you pay for' holds true with this shoe...thank goodness for the wonderful return policy at Zappos! Sending them back and looking for a different pair.
