I bought a pair of these
Chacos for me and and a pair for my college aged daughter, both in black. They can be difficult to adjust at first. Follow the included instructions. Also, they are a little stiff, at least at the beginning, especially the straps that go around the big toe. I haven't worn them enough to break in, so I don't know if those toe straps will soften up but I suspect so. The
arch support is surprisingly good for a
sandal. I love the rugged look and the practical design. They would be great for easy trail
hiking when you don't need a boot. My daughter wore them
hiking in the mountains right out of the box and had no problems.
