Purchased a size L for my 12 years old son. He is 5' tall and weighs 80 lbs. He is picky about what he wears, and can't stand big, heavy, or puffy winter coats. He did well with the North Face Denali jacket for a few years, but grew tired of it. He loves this jacket. It has a "cool" factor about it because he skateboards and likes this brand. Coat looks great, but I don't think it is as warm as most puff jackets because it is thin and lightweight. My son swears it fine, but I wouldn't suggest this for temps below freezing (unless you layer). Also would not wear in the snow as the material is not waterproof. Bottom line...great jacket for ease of movement and looks, but better have another coat for snow.
