Felt comfy when I first put it on, which is good. Wide toe box. Reminds me of how
Saucony once was when they were low tech and in the business of making shoes, not feet. The heel height is not flat like the description says. I'd estimate it to be about 1 inch total, which includes about 1/2 inch
wedge and 1/2 inch heel on top of that. It is very lightweight, as advertised. The eyelets are intersting. The top two are sort of on stalks - you can see it in the picture. For now anyway, that's allowing me to pull it nice and tight- hope those don't stretch out or tear. Loses at least a star though because: looks and smells cheap (plastic!), sole a bit stiff (despite the advert for "flex sole"), the mesh on the top is likely fake since it's not ventilating, a bit clunkier than my beloved
sketchers livewire which i can't find anywhere. I'd say also my feet are turning "in" a bit (overpronating), so if that's an issue for anyone be careful; I would never run in these, but for errands they seem good. Mine came with one of the
insoles bumpy but I was able to straighten it. Don't care much for the dark purple line near the sole, but its a minor quibble. Bottom line is if you are easy to fit, I'd try something different. But if you are hard to fit like me and need a wide toebox, highish instep, semi-curved last, and actual laces not bungee cords, then there aren't too many options out there and give these a shot. I am keeping mine.
