I love these boots! I get blisters really easily and I also try to buy shoes that will go with multiple things in my closet, so I wanted boots that would fit well around my ankles and heels, did not have too many flashy design features, and have a definite flair that I could wear for a long time. I know, I' am so picky! Lots of boots out there seem to have very wide ankles, but these have a nice little curve that follows the natural shape to fit snugly. I wore these boots right out of the box for a full day of work and running around, and they are very comfortable and stylish and no blisters! They did not need a break-in period! What they do need is insoles. I have really high arches, so someone else might not find these problematic, but I need a bit of support. But insoles are easy to get. The previous reviewer said that the boots are not made of genuine leather, but that is incorrect. The lining on the inside at the top of the boot is synthetic leather, but the outer material is definitely real leather. It smells and moves and feels like the real deal.

These boots are casual which I like and a nice alternative to the same style of riding boots everyone else is wearing. I am about 5'1" and they are a bit below my knee, so if you are tall they would definitely be mid-calf. They are also a little narrow in the calf if that is a concern for you.

Great boot. Dressy appearance, but you can wear it with casual or dressy outfits. Very comfortable fit as well; I could wear them all day. I ordered a 8.5 at first as I usual wear that size; however, they run slightly small and tight. I ended up ordering a 9, and I am thrilled with the fit.

Great, comfortable boot. Nice, real leather. Sleek design. Good traction on sole which is hard to find in fashionable boots. Liked them so much I bought in both black and brown!

Liked that they were comfortable, cute and not too much gaping at the top because of skinny calves. However, the synthetic leather had a weird smell that hasn't gone away even after sitting in an opened box for a while.
